Went there to pick up some lunch to go while my Dad shopped in the nearby Kroger. While waiting in line to order, I heard the cashier state to the person in front of me it'd be about 10 minutes for their food to come out. I thought that was a reasonable amount of time to wait for BBQ plus I needed to kill some time while my dad finished shopping. However, from the time I placed my order (1:42pm by the time stamped on my receipt) until I received my order was nearly 30 minutes. Thankfully my dad took longer to finish up shopping such that he was just coming out of Kroger when I went to meet him in the parking lot. While waiting a few things irked me. For one I noticed they were short staffed. They only had 2 employees running the cashiers taking orders, bringing out the orders, and making sure the tables were clean. They really needed 1 person designated to running the cashiers, 1 to bringing out the orders, and 1 more to facilitate the table cleaning and helping the other 2 workers. I also suspect they only had a couple of people cooking in the back which was probably too few. I will note that I went 2 days before Christmas, but I don't see that as an excuse to be understaffed (maybe Christmas Eve, but not 2 days before). Another thing that irked me was people coming and getting call in orders before me. I realize this is the point of doing that (to just come in and your order already be ready) but it was still annoying at the time. Maybe having a friendly message posted suggesting you call in your order if you don't want to wait would be nice (if there is one I missed it, so obviously wasn't posted in a good spot if it was there). Finally, the fact I was expecting at most a 10 minute wait and it ended up being ~30 minutes was very unfortunate. They did have a television on to help pass the time while waiting, but it didn't help too much. In the end, the food was very good and worth the wait to some extent. I just wanted to write this in case their management saw this to possibly try to make sure the restaurant is better staffed, more truthful to customers on wait times, and also to just suggest to others to consider placing call in orders as that apparently seems the best way to get your food...
Read moreMy daughter and I had a graduation to go to and wanted to eat before we went. I saw Shane's and pulled over, checked to see if they were busy and they were not. Dining area had one table occupied and they already had their food and two guys that were waiting for their to go order. It was perfect! I thought...... We ordered our food and paid at 6:09pm, and It took 21 minutes to get our food. Then we went to fix our drinks and there was an employee at the drink machine fixing drinks. She looks back and as if she did not see us continued making multiple drinks. This is Rude, inconsiderate of the customers waiting, and bad customer service. I understand they are for to go orders but if you have customers waiting to make their drink, let them. Apparently At this location if you are eating in, they consider you less important and we ended up not being able to eat in, and I was only able to eat my side and a few bites of my sandwich because of having to wait for our food and DRINKS. We didn't have time. SHANES REALLY LET US DOWN THIS TIME... HORRIBLE...
Read moreHave been to Shane's numerous times over the last few years and have always enjoyed it - good food with great service. Last night a Friday night the service was plain pitiful and lots of the food from the ones in my small group of close friends was way over cooked such as a burnt hamburger patty and there was also believe it or not was couple of nasty long hair pieces on a chicken tender. Had to ask for napkins and eating utensils as they were not on the counter. Asked a server for these. She never came back. Had to go get it myself. As I went to the front counter there was also another customer that was aitting across sitting from me using very bad language that was upset at the slow service etc. Not good at all for any restaurant. It was a very...
