I am so disappointed. First time visiting the establishment. The reviews were decent. Took out-of-towners this morning before they hit the road, and was totally disappointed. Our food came out different times, 1 of the guest was waiting on his food, after 7 minutes, we inquired about his food, they stated they was still working on it. Another 2 minutes, we inquired about his food, our drinks, etc., the waitress finally came back to tell us the waffle equipment was not cooperating, and offer an alternative. We ask for French toast, then another waitress brought out half of his order, which was chicken tenders, and they were cold. Instead of warming up the chicken tenders, they brought us the tenders that was waiting for the Waffles to complete the meal. I never experienced this from any restaurant. They should have told us immediately that the waffle maker was not functional, and all of our food should have came out together. The O.J. was not real O.J. I mention to the waitress about not being charge for an incomplete meal. She came back to our table, and stated the owner is paying for our breakfast, you think. I apologize to my guest, and offer to take them to Oakbrook for breakfast, and it...
Read moreThe restaurant is very small and only has 11-12 tables at the most, so going on weekends or holidays will not be a good idea, if you're looking to quickly get in and out. The restaurant has a very limited menu, and it serves both Mexican and American breakfast and lunch specialties. The staff is very friendly and they always kept our waters and coffee cups full. The food is good, but is also on the salty side. We ordered the chilaquiles rojos and verdes with scrambled eggs, on the chilaquiles Verdes, I added a side of meat. The piece of meat was mostly fat and grizzled, definitely not worth the price. Both of the chilaquiles rojos & verdes did not have enough sauce, they also didn't have any refried beans, sour cream, or cilantro, but they did have red onions and a very salty Mexican cheese sprinkled on them. The food plates are reasonably priced, but the sides are pricey and it can quickly become an expensive meal, just by adding a few sides. I would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu, but I'm going to make sure to let the know to take it easy on the salt. I'm also going to stick to the menu and not...
