Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Lomita

WOW! Where do I begin I entered Popeye's with the intent to purchase after, I took my 4 year old granddaughter to the bathroom. When I saw a code was needed, I asked for the male server at the register, he then rudely says, "Yeah, you gotta order first." ME, not being sure of what he said, I replied, " Excuse Me?" He then replied that bathroom is only for buying customers. In which I replied, " You see me standing here with a child who needs to use the bathroom." He shrugged his shoulders as in to convey, "Oh well, not my problem if you not buying". I then asked for the manager. He then became flipped and said she over there talking to somebody else. I then stated for him to let her know I wished to speak to her. He then walked away in a different direction than what he claimed she was in. A customer then provided me the code.

When I returned from the bathroom I saw Claudia, the manager and expressed my concern. She didn't care either. Her concerns was people are coming from a neighboring restaurant to use her bathroom and child or no child her policy is you must spend money even if a child, to use her store's bathroom. Her perfessional demeanor was sarcastic, unmoved, and disappointing to me. To not grand access to their bathroom for a child is inhumane. The flip side is, We were going to by a family meal after allowing the child to pee. This is unexceptional but this is the society we live in today.

I will not be mistreated beforehand and still spend my money in an establishment who hold no reguard for human decency.

Stopped at Popeyes cause I had a coupon for a 2 pcs meal for 7.99 cool so I asked if I could make that a breast and a leg that one white one dark they said no we can only make that either all white or all dark I said I would pay extra the girl very nasty said I told no we can’t do that what side I said Mac and cheese she said that would be 1.00 extra so I can pay extra for Mac but not for a leg and breast so then I said forget the coupon and just give me a two pcs meal with breast and leg but that’s .50 cent more and what side I said Mac she then says that will be extra .50 now before it was 1.00 now it’s only .50 cents but she couldn’t give me a breast and leg for extra so I get to the window to pay and the girl is giving me mad dog looks like if looks could kill. I will tell you this I get the chicken that way cause I take it to my friend that is homeless with her very small son and all she will let me get her is a breast and her son eats the leg. I don’t have problem paying what ever to get them something to eat but a coupon for 7.99 and you cant up charge me to change the chicken which cost wise doesn’t really matter .50 cents verse’s what I ended up paying $13.98 is just wrong like it would of killed them to give one dark and one white pcs of chicken. Came here after a long day of putting together a menu for my catering business. Order a chicken sandwich with fries & asked that the fries be extra crispy. The person taking my order said ok. When I got my order I checked the fries cause I had a feeling they weren’t cooked to my liking based off the temperature of the bag. So I drove back around & stated my complaint with the cashier. He proceeded to tell me that the fries were fresh out the fryer which wasn’t true. I have 12 years kitchen experience & five of them was dealing with a lot of fries so I know a little about temperature & texture when it comes to those. He then proceeded to tell me that they weren’t able to make them extra crispy cause they are on a timer so I said you can drop the fries again restart the timer. He said that they couldn’t cause it’s the rule lmao. So McDonald’s, Arby’s, Jack in the box, rally’s etc are breaking the rules when a customer ask for well done fries? This is ridiculous in my 12 years of cooking in restaurants I never heard of such a rule nor have I experienced such lack of knowledge about food & temperatures. Honestly the people working tonight should be fired or at least be put through another servesafe test under supervision cause if they have their certificate it’s probably cause they cheated the test or they just sincerely have no care about the food & customers they serve.
