The Wok Experience — Restaurant in Lomita

Love this place , but just had a horrible customer service from Lin (manager/owner?). I call to order and in my order I wanted extra mushrooms in my soup(as I've ordered numerous times before) She told me it was not poossible and that I didn't understand that it was extra-quite rudely-i replied that I understood and was fine with it . Once I got to the restaurant: My order wasn't ready and had to wait (I got there 10min after Lin told me it would be ready) with her excuse being she couldn't read her own writing... There was no extra mushrooms in the soup-but found this only after I got home.

I called again and got accused I didn't ask for the extra mushrooms. They said they'd prepare them and for me to come back. I got charged for them and Lin completely ignored me - not even offered an apology (even non committal like 'sorry I might have not understood your orders' )

Extremely disappointed by the customer service from Lin. I hope this...

This is typical Chinese fast food like most other large volume chafing dish fooderies. English is not the first language here so if you ask a question they don't hear every day you may need to illustrate. Like many Chinese food places these people are not nice, they don't treat the customers well and it's almost like they're doing you a favor by serving you. I assume that's part of the culture, never a smile will you see upon these faces! The food is good and nothing stands out but the chow mein noodles are big fat noodles that will fill you up and they pile it high. I usually get the broccoli beef and some type of chicken. Mushroom chicken today. It fills the hole and tastes pretty good and it has lots of veggies mixed in to keep the cost down. I eat here when I don't have time to go across the street to Szechwan where I'm treated well and the food is really good....

I've been coming to this place for over 20 years and I have yet to find anything wrong. Perhaps thos with complaints are either new to this place or not aware of the service and quality that this Wnk provides. Maybe if you actually knew how great your experience can be perhaps you would have a change of view. I doubt anyone knows that the owners are very polite and they try to cater to everyone's taste needs. Get to know them let them know what's your issue before you go saying a bad thing on one visit. Anyways if you ain't happy don't come back go elsewhere I'm sure sooner or later your negativity will rise again. This is my favorite place to eat so I will continue to eat here because I'm happy with the quality of the food the cleanliness the friendly ppl that work there.
