Drift Beach Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Long Beach Township

A mouse, cold food, wrong food, no refills and lack of responsibility. We arrived as a party of 9. The atmosphere was nice however when we ordered appetizers we asked for side plates so we could share. It took over 10 minutes, we had to ask a second time. By the time we got them, our apps were cold. We asked if they could be warmed up. They said yes but never took them. Instead of calling someone over again or waiting even longer, we decided to just eat them as we were hungry. We were never offered drink or water refills which was unfortunate as I had nothing to drink for the entire meal after my appetizers. When we got our entrees I recieved the wrong dish. I had to flag someone down because I figured I'd be waiting another 10 minutes at least before we were checked on to see if everything came out ok or good. When I explained the problem, our waiter apologized, took the dish away and said the correct one would be out right away. Sadly, my correct meal didn't arrive till everyone was finished minus a bite or two. I was ok with waiting. It was disappointing though when I still wasn't offered another drink or anything while I waited or anything for the inconvenience. When everyone was finished and I was rushing to eat my meal, we had a mouse run under our table. I know staff had heard as they commented as well. Overall not a great experience. I’d give 2.5 but definitely not three stars. First time visit after coming to LBI for 12 years and I was not impressed. Made a reservation for my family of 5 for 4:15. Seated promptly only to end up next to the bar with 15+ obnoxious golfers telling putting war stories. Completely ruined any sort of experience. Meanwhile the entire restaurant was empty. Seating made no sense, when it’s my wife and 3 kids under 11. Burgers were fine, drinks and apps were fine. I ordered the battered cod (fish and chips let’s not be pretentious) and I threw them out. Literally fish sticks. Soggy tasted and smelled strongly of fish (that’s bad) and I did not want food poisoning so right in the bin. French fries were pretty good though and the servers were good and apologetic. Have to say I will not be coming back again and I recommend everyone...

I was here a few days for my Nephews wedding. We ate dinner at the Drift restaurant at the hotel. The online dinner menu did not match the restaurant menu as the price of the dinners actually averaged 5 dollars more. The 28 dollar meal on the online menu was actually 33 dollars. The menu was different as well. If I had known in advance I would have dined elsewhere. Also at check in I was told they would not honor the Expedia prepaid price I booked 9 months in advance. I was charged an additional fee. I know the rooms are over priced due to the short season July through August but I've stayed in Hawaii and the West Coast for less money during prime seasons.
