Stirred, not shaken. For I am not a sissy boy, like James Bond.
Beachwood brews over 25 of their own beers, along with distilling their own rum, gin & vodka. Unfortunately, whiskey is not included. Once I arrived, I was dead set on an Elder Vesper. Created by Ian Fleming as the favorite cocktail for his titular character, James Bond. A boozy beverage, Bond took his "shaken, not stirred". Not me! Stirred, not shaken. Shaking dilutes the cocktail moreso than stirring. Give it to me stiff!
Elder Vesper- Beachwood Vodka, Beachwood Citrus Gin, Lillet Blanc, St. Germain Elderflower, Beachwood Orange Bitters. Dry, strong & lovely, this was my first taste of a martini, and I highly enjoyed the bright & crisp cocktail.
Chi Chi- Beachwood Vodka, Trader Vic's Macadamia Nut Liqueur, Pineapple Juice, Cream of Coconut, Lime Juice. Yikes! Too sweet! Akin to an ICEE/slushie, I was given half a Tiki mug of this blood sugar spiking concoction, and I'm thankful I only had that much to drink.
Beer Sample Flight- I asked if could sample a beer or two, and was graciously provided a flight of four of their popular beers on tap. My favorite being the Gator.
Beachwood Wood-Fired House Bread w/ Whipped Ricotta- 48 hour fermented sourdough bread, baked to order and served with whipped ricotta, roasted garlic & soft herbs. Very good! The bread had a substantial pull to it. The whipped ricotta was heavenly, dolloped upon each tear of bread. Quite filling!
Gratitude the staff at Beachwood Brewing & Distilling. The hospitable service, expertly crafted cocktails & tantalizing eats afforded a fine evening experiencing a previously unventured culinary...
Read moreWould give less if I voyld terrible work schedule I do t come late I come at 4 and every day at 430 the entire parking lot is full of busses every Wednesday Thursday and Friday there's no space for parking customers park illegally and block the busses and vans that come to pick up disable people from daycare those people are not the problem but if you seen this every week 3 days of your 5 day schedule you'd think to maybe open the brewery a little later maybe keep it open a little longer but no instead the brewery takes more parking spaces by putting an immobile food trailer back there and wasting half the lot that is theirs and making more parking troubles for customers of both establishments. I've been here for a beer as well it wasn't special at all nothing new just inconvenient as hell and the bartender is too damn cool for anyone that isn't 50+ and dressed like they have money to burn. Terrible space that ruined some of the community I'd rather drink at patricas next door these owners are whack and I have seen them yell at staff publicly. Fix your work schedule no one NEEDS to be drunk before 430 Wed Thurs Friday not worth the hassle costs too much no service to speak of could have served myself in a nicer manner with all the sarcasm I'd give myself it'd...
Read moreOur favorite brewery moved into our neighborhood 😃 With 24 taps, you are bound to find a few beers or ten you want to try so we are thankful we can walk here. There is also a parking lot in the back if you need to drive over. My husband and I went opening day with our neighbors. The place was packed when we got there, but luckily we were able to get a table. There is plenty of seating at the bar and in the whole brewery. They did a great job with the space and added pinball machines, skeeball, and a shuffleboard in the back. It’s fun for kids and adults. You can also get cans to go and merchandise. Check out their IG for events and music too. The distillery is in the works but there is plenty of great beers to have in the meantime. If you get hungry there are plenty of local restaurants to get food from. Our friend picked up Thunderbolt Pizza while we were there. It hit the spot. Can’t wait for our...
