Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Long Beach

Today was my first visit to a new place. I was informed by a friendly member of the excellent staff that they have been open since October 2017. This is a great new place. The dining room is huge and has large windows that let in plenty of light and there is even a children's playroom in a separate access area at the far end of the dining area. Perfect for families with children. The restrooms are state of the art and very spacious. There is a red umbrella dining area outside the front end of the building. The Traffic Circle is right across the road from the front of the building and the outside dining area. An excellent location. I had the Chick Fil-A deluxe with the waffle fries and generous amounts of ice-cold cherry coke and I was, from the first bite, extremely impressed with the uniqueness and quality of the taste and the quality of the ingredients used. I have, over the years, had the chicken from all the other ones, McDonalds, Wendy's, Carls Jr ect..., and I can say that without a doubt that this is the best chicken that I have EVER tasted. Something about how it is prepared, I'm not going to tell you the secret, seals in the flavor and boosts it to the front end of the flavor spectrum. None of the others can hold a candle to this. I will say it again, This is THE BEST chicken I have EVER tasted. The wonderful staff ply you with refills so you don't have to get it yourself most of the time. None of the others do this and that is another distinction that puts them a cut above the rest right off the bat. I will most assuredly return again to continue my exploration of the gastronomical delights contained in their substantial menu. If you are reading this, I challenge you to go with THE BEST and to forget all the rest. Why do you want McDonalds when you can have THIS!!!.

Tuesday (4-24-18) MDK On...

I would rather starve than go here again! I've been to at least a dozen CfL and this is BY FAR the worst! The 1st time: Went just after they opened. Got cheese in my sandwich when I clearly said that I'm lactose intolerant! And my daughter got pickles in hers, which she hates! Went to the counter to tell a manager but saw a giant ROACH fall from the ceiling to the floor. I told a staff person and they just picked it up and walked away - no urgency. It must've not been the first time... Finally told a mgr who offered my fresh sandwiches and 2 gift cards. I let it go since they were brand new..

2nd time: Used my gift cards. Went thru drive-thru. YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT... cheese and pickles!! So then I refused to ever go here again.

3rd (and last time): I returned because we were starving on our way home. Big Mistake! Got a different order at drive-thru. They asked me if I wanted sauces (as usual) and I said 8 pls (as usual). Drove to the window and someone gave me a bag. How many sauces are in here? I asked. I think 4, she said. Well I need 4 more. Sorry, we only give 2 per entree. EXCUSE ME?? I have never heard that in my entire life! Other chick fil A's have their sauces out at a table. Nobody counts or monitors anyone. WTH! Oh, and the chicken was HARD and the fries were STALE!

Chick fil A at the Towne Center is 10000x better! I'd rather drive out of my way than deal with their unprofessional selves.

Truly WORST chick fil A ever....

In my humble opinion, Chick-fil-A has the best fried chicken recipe of all take out restaurants. Possibly because I have a profound sweet tooth and a penchant for Christian businesses that close on Sundays, their secret ingredient in the batter keeps me coming back for more. 😉 The market salad with a substitution of nuggets for grilled filet with balsamic vinaigrette for the dressing is my favorite "healthy"choice on the menu. The bleu cheese crumbles mixed with the strawberries are the difference maker for me on this entree. My other favorite item on the menu that always gives the cashier/clerk a smirk or a chuckle is the kid's meal 6 piece nugget meal with a diet coke and 1 ketchup packet and 1 chick fil a sauce. I always tell them to keep the kid's toy that is usually included in such "meals" and to substitute for an ice cream cone. Hands down chick fil A has the best soft serve vanilla ice cream in the world. It is so good, that even when it was zero degrees outside in the greater Chicagoland area, when my sweet tooth would hit, off to the drive through I would go for that little treat. Don't judge. Seriously, it's that delicious, plus it's family friendly and they take customer service very seriously with their "my pleasure" and asking for your name instead of giving you a number at...
