Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Long Beach

UPDATED 09/09/24:

Had a much better experience today at this location. Did not have to deal with the difficult employee from my last visit. The food was once again very good and I’m glad this situation was straightened out.

The manager I spoke with was very pleasant and the staff were approachable. I look forward to coming back again soon. Thank you.

Had an awful experience with an associate who was very impatient when I was ordering. It was my first time here and I purchased a baker’s dozen and a coffee, and the associate could not be more bothered. Kept rolling eyes and giving attitude when it was completely unnecessary. Called this person out and spoke to the manager.

Not only that I never received an apology from either the manager or the toxic employee who I had to deal with.

I seem to have bad luck at this particular Einstein location, especially when ordering via the app. Usually my order is missing something but this time, it’s the extras that ruined it. After picking the order up, my daughter started munching and quickly said ‘eww, a hair.’ She had already pulled it out and tossed it. When I asked to see it. But a few seconds later she said ‘OMG it’s another hair!’ So she took a photo (and circled the hair). The hairs were dark brown or black; my daughters is blonde and mine is white… Sorry kid, no breakfast today. One hair is a mistake; two hairs is a real problem; either it’s intentional or gross negligence (no pun intended). I came here for breajfas5 on Monday march 3rd, 2025, after I had gotten surgery. I had been fasting so I was so hungry when I got there, they had no everything bagels in the case but I saw them in the racks. All of the everything bagels were burnt. They were all very dark brown. I got the lox bagel and asked for no capers, but when I got my bagel, there were a lot of capers and tons of onions. I got my bagel remade on a garlic bagel, and when it came out, I checked inside for capers, no capers this time, still tons of onions, and in this bagel, I saw a hair. It was a beard hair from one of the workers. This worker did not have a beard net on but the other man did. I had my bagel remade again and this time there were no hairs, no capers, no surprises. I'd like to come back but I don't want to run into these...
