We arrived around 5pm. Check in was ultra quick. This place is tiny, maybe 20 rooms? Anyway, it was easy to check in, and it didn't take very long to get our stuff up to our room as they have a few parking spots right in the front. After that though you have to move your car to the back, where there is less spots and there are rooms, however we were able to get one because we checked in early enough for it to not be full. Once we got up to our room it was big it look nice, but there's a couple things here and there that we're not good. The desks were kind of chipped and cracking a little which wasn't world ending, but one of the beds had some sort of rust or chocolate type looking strange stains on the sheet, and the shower head was cracked so when you tried to move it it would just pop off and then shoot a stream of water right in your face. Also where our room was, it faced out towards the opening to the street, which allows for a lot of Street noise, that's not anyone's fault or the hotels fault, just a little note that if you have one of the rooms at face out towards the Main Street you hear a lot of noise. For the amount that we paid, and only needing a place to sleep and shower the next morning, it wasn't terrible, and we didn't know about the cracked shower head until we were ready to leave, and I opted to just sleep on top of all the covers instead of on the rest covered sheets so we didn't tell anyone until we were leaving, it was still just strange that that could even be a possibility to be on a bed sheet. All in all you get what you pay for, and a place to sleep is what we paid for, and that's...
Read moreWe were disappointed. Very overpriced. For $20 more we could've gotten a much much nicer motel room . Its an old building, the office check-in area was extremely small. The room we were in was small, no closet or place to hangup clothes, tiny bathroom with small shower and toilet was right next to the bed, the bathroom sink was located in the entranceway right next in front of the door and the room smelt like an old building, like mold and the residual from cigarettes were permeating the walls & furniture. The aged bedroom set (early 70s era) was too big for the room and night stand awkwardly placed where it could fit and it really needed to be refinished. The mattress & box spring was on a short legged frame that wasn't the right height or width to fit the headboard appropriately and the pillows could fall behind the bed through the big gap. We stuffed a few of our own blankets in-between so the pillows could stay on the bed. The room was clean, had a bed, tv no cable, microwave and a little unbalanced fridge that wobbled whenever you touched it. They also served a 'free continental breakfast' that we didn't see and don't know where they'd of laid out the food. I was surprised this motel was represented by the EconoLodge chain because by no means did that place make Econo look good. I really expected it to be a lot nicer. I won't trust another EconoLodge unless told otherwise. This place was too overpriced. I wish I had taken pictures...
Read moreHorrible experience from start to finish. Couldn't understand the man checking me in through his accent and broken English. He had me down for two rooms although I only reserved one. He argues with me about that! I was overcharged by $20 what I had booked the room for plus additional tax. It was a long slow process. He couldn't tell me where to park. Finally came out and showed me and I could see that if another car parked in the space behind me I'd be blocked in the morning. He assured me that would not happen. Room is filthy. Dirt on the walls, counters, floor. Bed is rock hard. Was given 2 small flat pillows for a King size. Construction noise going on all night upstairs! No coffee for the coffee pot in the room. No coffee in the lobby despite my "complimentary breakfast". I asked him for coffee and he just wandered away. Go to thankfully leave in the morning and OF COURSE I am blocked in. I am a performer and had a specific time I needed to leave to be on time for a gig. I go complain to the man and he leaves again. No explanation. He went and woke up the occupants in that room to move their car! It was 7:00 am! I hope THOSE people write a review as well. Then he says they are on their way. They aren't so I go tell him I need this car moved right away, I'm running late. He walks off again! 30 minutes later this poor groggy guest comes and moves his car and I'm at last free to flee this dump....
