Cyclops Coffee in Long Beach is so much more than a coffee shop. Yes, the drinks are amazing (my partner and I always go for the honey oat latte!!! SO GOOD), but what makes this place special is the atmosphere and the people. It’s the kind of place where you can sit with your laptop and sort through your life — I’ve done everything from budgeting to reading to just catching up with friends/ family here. You’ll often see people studying or working quietly, and there’s this peaceful, welcoming vibe that makes it feel like a little pocket of calm in the middle of a busy day. Also, I have to shout out the amazing baristas — especially Dulce and Steven. They’ve become more than just friendly faces behind the counter. They have offered encouragement and support during the toughest moments in my partners cancer journey and to them I am forever grateful! It’s rare to find that kind of genuine care in a coffee shop, and it speaks volumes about the kind of people they are and the kind of shop this is! If you find yourself in the Long Beach area, give Cyclops a visit! It’s not just coffee — it’s community, comfort, and a little reminder that good people and good drinks can go a long way!

Back when I was a student at CSULB, I always wished there was a solid coffee spot near campus. I spent a lot of time outside the library looking for somewhere to study, but it was slim pickings on this side of town. Long Beach has plenty of great coffee shops, but most of them close by 4 or 5pm—which isn’t ideal when you’re trying to get in some late study sessions. Fast forward to now—I recently finished grad school and was on the hunt for a good place to study for my board exam and grab a quality cup of coffee. That’s when I found Cyclops. They’re one of the only shops around that stay open until 9pm, which is already a huge win in my book. They’ve got all the good stuff: Americanos, lattes, matcha (my usuals), but their rotating specialty drinks keep things fun and fresh. Every now and then I’ll try one out, and they never disappoint. But honestly, what keeps me coming back is the people. Steven (the owner) and Dulce always greet you with a smile, and they seriously know what they’re doing—just wait until you try one of their drinks. The rest of the team is just as awesome, and the vibe here is always welcoming. Hands down, my favorite coffee shop in Long Beach.

I am very particular about my espresso drinks. I asked the barista how many grams of grounds they used to pull their double, and how many grams of espresso their double was. And she knew the answer to that question (18/40). Green flag #1. I asked if they had honey. “Yes.” Do you cut it with sugar? “No.” Do you measure by the pump or by the gram? “By the gram.” Green flag #2. When the barista actually knows the details, I can order with a little more confidence. And my drink was delicious. 10/10. Would definitely order there again.

Cyclops Coffee is a must-visit for anyone in search of a modern, clean, and welcoming coffee shop experience. The space is sleek and stylish, with plenty of outlets for those needing to work on their laptops or catch up on some reading. The coffee is absolutely delicious—whether you’re in the mood for a perfectly brewed espresso or a creamy, flavorful latte, they’ve got you covered. Pair it with one of their local pastries, and you’re in for a real treat.

What truly sets Cyclops Coffee apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, adding a personal touch by handing your drink to you with a smile. It’s these small details that make the experience feel extra special. If you’re looking for a place to relax, work, or simply enjoy a great cup of coffee, Cyclops Coffee is the place to be....
