Alright.... So I'm going to review Ding Tea, BUT.... Just know that I also love Ding Tea and wish the best for it.
At this moment in time, I am giving Ding Tea 3/5 stars based on the consistency of milk tea strengths that my friends or I keep receiving and on their rising prices (or maybe not rising, just high prices?).
I like a good milk tea with lots of flavor and sometimes when I order them, they seem to be lacking on gust. This is happened to me multiple times and i haven't really said anything to the employees because I don't like wasting a milk tea and I know it will go to waste. My roommate however has sent back a drink to remake because it was very weak. The sweetness level is great, its just that there might not be enough powder or syrup and it just isn't giving the same umf that it should be giving. If this is the case, then I want my drinks to be worth their money and when I get a matcha milk tea with 2 additives resulting in $7.00+, it better be spot on.
This brings me to my second thing of prices. I get a large usually with two additives and some say that I should expect the price to be high with a good quality tea and two additives, but why does it have to be over $7? I just want something that I can keep coming back to that won't break my bank. It originally was less than $7, did inflation happen? But if so, why is it so much for a milk tea when other places are still under $6.50 đ
I say this with love in my heart for Ding, I really do because I love their matcha, but I feel like they have been slacking since they've opened. They have been short staffed though so I can't blame their peeps and they get droves of people at a time. It's straight up hard work dealing with people, but I want the best for ya'll...
Read moreToday I went into the store and asked for light ice in a banana matcha. I was told yes but that the cup would not be full. I replied by saying okay well can you just add extra milk and the cashier told me no you canât add extra milk. Then I asked okay well I just want the cup to be full so you can add more water to the matcha to fill up the cup. The cashier told me that my request was weird and that they couldnât add extra water to the cup because their matchas are pre made. I was very offended by her comment and said never mind and to just cancel the order. Then she says no itâs okay you can still get the matcha. I just paid for the drink then she goes to the back and talks about me. This is the second time something like this has happened. The last time I was there I asked for the complimentary sprouts and condiments that come with the ramen. The cashier told me I could not have it and that If I wanted it I would have to pay for it. I pointed to the menu above her head and said why do I have to pay for it if itâs complimentary. She still didnât give me any condiments or sprouts. I still ate my food and left⌠thinking I would never go back in there. I am a rewards member of the store and have been getting a lot of texts to come back to visit. I instantly regretted my decision going back in there today. Matcha lattes are matcha powder, water and your choice of milk. Why do customers have to debate to add extra milk, water, or ice to the drinks they are paying for and being told no. Why are customers being told they canât have complimentary condiments that come with the ramen sold in store? The customer service here is not good at all. Why do the works insult and offend customers? It was all just so rude, unprofessional , and...
Read moreBrown Sugar Milk Tea Monster Boba Latte So my go to is cha for tea. My boyfriend is not a big fan of boba at all - especially milk based tea. Today however, he was intrigued about trying Brown Sugar Milk Tea so I said if weâre gonna get that drink - I think you should get it from a place that specializes in it⌠ding tea. Not sure what our servers name was (he was fair skinned) but we came in about 20 min ago tonight, Saturday night⌠our server was just so kind and genuine and still high spirited before closing! We couldnât decide between trying Monster Boba Latte or Brown Sugar Milk Tea. Our server recommended brown sugar but also explained in full detail that brown sugar was black tea based and monster was milk with non dairy base. 3 min later he came out with both drinks for us! How amazing can a person be! I feel so blessed tonight. I wish I couldâve gave him a cash tip. And now, my boyfriend is obsessed with his new favorite boba drink. âItâs so good babe best boba drink everâ I live 7 min away and as you can see - he finished the whole drink already (as shown on the left) Thank you to our server tonight,...
