Bring Back the Old BBQ! This now a Mexican restaurant. It is great but not as great as the old BBQ. Old Review Below There is so much to say I don't know where to begin. Not too long ago this barbecue place was known as a Mexican spot. Hole mole. And it was one of the better Mexican places in the neighborhood. Since then this restaurant has evolved into a a barbecue restaurant with some really good Mexican staples. First and foremost, the barbecue and brisket is top notch and will go toe to toe with some of the best Texas barbecue any day of the week. Not only that, they serve the brisket in a variety of ways. My favorite is the brisket sandwich which has the most incredible bun that is toasted with this amazing crunch to it. But in addition, you can get the brisket on tacos. And these are some of the best brisket tacos I've ever had. For those not familiar with brisket tacos, they are very common in Texas. However, the tacos at hole smokes again take the crown. It's not just the brisket but the amazing corn tortillas unlike any corn tortillas I've ever had before. In addition to brisket tacos, they also do a variety of other tacos including smoke to shrimp, fish and potato variants. They also have a lot of great sides that I'm addicted to. Like the smoked chilies that I put in their amazing mac and cheese. You're also able to get more traditional Mexican side dishes like refried beans and Spanish rice. They also do a great job with their fries. Where they flash fry them. The best barbecue in Los Angeles county. Prove me wrong.

Grew up in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas. After 6 months in a BBQ desert in LA I found the best brisket IN LBG. A delight to my senses. Good BBQ should draw you in from the aroma in the street with meat keeping you in your seat. I couldn't even get time to get up and get another napkin. The meat on the sandwich was a great mix of the lean and fatty. The bun, think it was brioche, was soft with a nice crispy toast around the edge. Probably cause they grilled it with butter? Don't know but was a perfect touch. Then with a plentiful side of pickles, fresh onions, and jalepenos. If you get Q in TX and it don't come with these then go elsewhere. I ordered the beans and found them hearty and tasty. I could live on them alone. They had a creamy texture along with a good bite. The atmosphere was great with shack like paneling and seating. Parking is what it is. Its LBG.

Holé Molé is a great catch phrase and the name of a Mexican-inspired comfort food restaurants located directly on the corner of 4th Street and Almond Avenue in the City of Long Beach, California. Indoor and outdoor dining are both available at this time. They're open 7 days a week from 10 am - 9 pm. Holé Molé was my "Taco Tuesday" lunch destination near downtown Long Beach. It has been awhile since my last visit. Today, I ordered two fish tacos with a side of rice and beans, along chips and salsa a few yellow jalapenos. The fish tacos came battered, fried and topped with chops cabbages, tomatoes, onions, cilantro and creama. The side of rice was soft and lightly seasoned and the beans was nice and hot and topped with melted cheese. Holé Molé was a great stop for a quick bite.

Hole Mole has amazing food at great prices. I've loved their crispy tacos for years. I recently got into their shrimp tacos as well. They are unmatched. If you compare with other places you get shrimp tacos,Hole Mole is most likely less expensive, and the taste is so amazing. The ensenada shrimp taco is about $2. It's large (street taco size but very stuffed). The Cabo shrimp taco is unique in flavor and my absolute favorite. It's a little smaller and a little more expensive at around $3. So great though! The crunchy tacos are so great. And you get two for less than $2. Unbeatable for taste and value. Drinks are typical fountain drinks, plus a few varieties of agua frescas. Chips cost extra. Ask for lime and utensils.

I've only been to this location once. Parking is difficult. The lot is small, and it's unclear which spots are for Hole Mole and which are for the other businesses, and there are scary tow-away signs in typical Long Beach fashion. Long Beach isn't joking about towing and ticketing. Street parking is a nightmare in that part of Long Beach, so plan on circling the block for a while if you come on a weekend or popular time.

They have a small partio for dining in during the Newsom shutdown. You can order there...

Don’t go at the end of the night. My food was cold on arrival and I live literally down the street. I called them next morning to see if they would trade them out and I was greeted with an extremely rude “Can you call back at 9? we open at 9!” Yes I am aware of your hours that’s why I’m calling right before so that I can get there at 9. That is no way to treat your patron. Especially when you’re in the wrong. But in general ... it’s number one rule when you deal with the public you have to be polite. That’s just the way it is... food is usually good. It was far from last night. They were probably just over it and trying to get home. But I paid for it and it’s not what you guys usually deliver. Last nights food was horrible so rather than throwing it away and never coming back(I’m there at least once a week) I’m giving a chance to make it right. The rude female over the phone at 830am Wednesday 09/12/18 .... shouldn’t be answering the phone....
