Smells like sewage! As soon as you walk in.. nasty sewer smell.. almost walked out.. ordered 2 Burria queso tacos.. dried out meat dipped in some sauce to moisten not the typical burria consommé and no consommé to dip it in as we get elsewhere - nasty bland mediocre flavor.. ordered Mulita with pastor.. sad barely warmed corn tortillas with next to nothing in it.. tasted like corn tortilla till you separated the top off then just a bunch of old dried out pastor.. should of known when I saw the spit circling with next to nothing left at 11am - left over from yesterday or even the day before.. asked about chilaquiles torta or burrito as we’ve tried at other locations before ordering.. told not on the menu there.. won’t go back..

Update: 1-14-24 Owner never reached out til now and only to refute the post 2 months later to say this is a bogus malicious review.. LOL! Proves how committed they are to offering stellar service and quality food. (Pics of food were taken at one of their tables in their to go box with our foiled...

Ate here with a friend recently and had an awful experience, not sure how this place has such great reviews to be honest lol. Maybe I caught em on a bad day.

Ordered a carne asada plate. Specifically ordered tortillas for it too. Was told by the cashier “It comes with tortillas”. Ok cool.

Food comes, no tortillas of course. No big deal at all, I go to the front and ask for my tortillas, girl behind the counter says the plate doesn’t come with any. I tell her the guy who took my order specifically said they come with some. She gives attitude saying I need to buy them before they give me any. By this point the line is super long, so I ask if I can just get 2 or 3 tortillas for my meal that I had ALREADY ordered. “You need to get back in line”. Haaaa screw that and this place.

I honestly probably wouldn’t even care about any of that though if the food was good, but every part of our meal was super mediocre. Weirdly the carne asada itself was the worst part. No flavor and came out less than lukewarm.

Would absolutely...

The burrito we ordered had STRENGTH. It was very big, tasty, and filling. The fish taco had like, the bones of a damn good one, but we got take out and we're a bit late picking up so it wasn't as hot as it should've been. Our fault, still worth the money.

Got the Tijuana tacos, which came with pinto beans on them and folded for easy eating. Really, really good tacos. Al pastor was fantastic, the carne asada was tender, the chicken was...ya know. Chicken. Nothing to write home about but perfectly serviceable protein. Had a quesataco too, it had the same issues as the fish taco. Would've been way better if it was fresh, but nothing wrong with it.

I enjoyed how the app let us customize so much, and had 3 different types of hot sauces, all seemingly made in store. I didn't taste any hot sauce I know of anyway, so that pushed it to 5 stars for not putting tapatio is a cup and calling...

Im sure vegetarians and vegans all around SoCal get by just fine with their bean and cheese and veggie tacos/burritos/bowls. Maybe even get the soyrizo ones. But I'm sure the same vegans have always known they are not eating true authentic SoCal kind of Mexican food, the one that you get on taco trucks!!! Well, enter THIS PLACE!! Al pastor, BIRRIA?!? and chorizo as vegan meat options?! And the taste is 👏🏾 I would say, stick with tacos and the only small complain I have with burrito was that there was too much rice and maybe 10-15% vegan meat. I paid for 2 meats too and still, too much rice. But small complain to have. Their agua frescas were amazing too. Vegetarian/vegan heaven. If you love spicy, get their hebenaro salsa. You won't be disappointed. It's 100/10!

Being hungry and in the area due to an appointment, I check if La Taqueria Brand has any Vegan options to find the establishment has a lot. I order a Pastor Mulita. The Yellow Corn Tortilla is soft-crunchy. The Pastor mixing with the Oaxaca, Monterey, and Onions is delicious. The flavors of the spices and subtle bits of sweetness are present. The flavors of the Mulita linger in my mouth well after I finish eating it. After finishing the Mulita, I feel like eating more food at the establishment which the establishment makes easier to do since the majority of prices are so reasonable. There is a decent variety of indoor seating.
