Took almost 30 minutes to get my latte, two days in a row, the syrup was way too heavy… I’m a local that would love to be a regular but the long wait times and inconsistency makes it hard to come back
Owner Response: Nicole, we reviewed your transaction. 7 minutes total. (Phone order and one person in line, with 2 drinks ahead). Why Lie Nicole? The flavor can be reviewed and repaired - but your lie kinda sucks and why should anything else you say be trustworthy. Order In 9:04 Called order 9:10 Out the door at 9:11 On review, Drink measured properly and yes Holy Kakow is VERY floral - it's all natural- including the sugars. Not a Torani. Like our rose and ceremonial matcha, people often need a hit of Vanilla or Simple and we can do that at no cost. We always want to make it right. Not sure why you needed to say 30 minutes, because that's honestly not true. We try hard to be fast and accurate. But most importantly want people to enjoy their drinks, so please taste and let us know before you leave. Thank you.
Reply: Owner accused me of lying without engaging in a professional way and in a kind manner and perhaps asking why I was pushed to make this comment. If you look at all my previous ratings, I'm an easy 5 star rater easy to please customer. Partner was in car and can attest to the long wait for this lavender latte, from entering shop to exiting is what I meant by 30 minutes. The day before, I ordered a Rose Latte, with the same experience of it being too strong. Bottom line, it was not a good experience and then when then drink tasted terrible again, that was the last straw. I had to go home and dilute the drink with milk. We have been to the shop previously with a good experience, so I'm sad this is happening too, would love to support local shops. In any case will return and try again maybe in a...
Read moreA MUST GO if you are in Long Beach. My daughter had a breakfast burrito and I had a the burrito made as a bowl ... both GREAT. But that wasn't what made this place a MUST. It was the atmosphere and the owner who made fabulous coffee with a smile on his face. He remained calm when the regulars (a group of medical students) appeared and a large line instantly formed. He made me a matcha latte just to try because I asked what the green stuff was (it was Matcha tea) and then took the time to show me how to "layer" the flavors ... with vanilla syrup and this yummy sweet foamy stuff. Bottom line, this place has been open since December and we were drawn in because there were so many people ... it must be THE PLACE if so many locals are there ... he is certainly doing something right if he has that many folks and he has been open for just a few months. Sure enough. It is THE PLACE ... but not just because of the great coffee and food ... but the atmosphere is welcoming and...
Read moreII live just down the street, so I’ve been frequenting Jugband for the past few months, and I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite spots in the area. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the service is consistently great, and the food is absolutely top notch.
The owners are very involved and often present, which really shows their commitment and passion for the place. My go-to order is the iced matcha with oat milk and lavender syrup. The breakfast burrito is incredible, and the sourdough bagel with cream cheese is another favorite—the ratio of cream cheese is spot on every time.
It does get busy, which is a good sign, so I usually call ahead for takeout. My order is always ready on time. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or relaxing with a coffee, Jugband always delivers. I truly...
