Little Caesars Pizza — Restaurant in Long Beach

Update as of 6/24/2025 - Location has improved considerably since last review from 6 years ago. We order through the app now and so far the experience has been great. Our food has been made to order and it’s easy to pick up (you just enter a code on the machine and the door opens for your order). Our favorite is the pretzel crust with cheese sauce and pepperoni, but their regular pizza is great too and reasonably priced. There are always deals in the app too which makes it even better!

Original Review - Previous visits here have generally been good, although they don't always have hot and ready options available as advertised. The staff is usually good about being up front about it and accommodating, but on my most recent visit it appeared that they have some new team members who aren't very efficient or very concerned about retaining customers. There was one customer at the time who also had to wait and despite it being obvious that he was in a hurry, the counter person seemed completely oblivious and unconcerned. They didn't have either of the options I was looking to order available and I was willing to wait, but when I asked if they could shake some parmesan on my pizza the kid working was not only obviously irritated about the extra work, but also said he had to charge me an extra $1 for it. I explained that I always get parmesan on my pizza and have never had a problem before and he said he was just following the rules. It was only a $10 order, but since they were already having issues I just went to a different location nearby. Interestingly, the young lady behind the counter at the other store not only had no problem taking care of multiple customers, serveral large orders and accomodating requests, she was also friendly and efficient. Not coming back. I've been here twice. Theres seems to be a major problem with the Friday crew. The first time I came was on a friday, they are a bit slow if you order anything but the normal pepperoni or cheese and bread sticks, If it's anything else be prepared to wait 45-60 mins. Yesterday, a Friday, I tried again but this time ordered on the app. I got confirmation my pizza was ready. I went in 5 mins later. Pizza wasnt ready for another 30 mins.

They had 5 people working in the back with a 6th person walking in around 7pm. No one was working the counter. Nooooo one. And when the girl would be stopped by a customer, she had the biggest attitude. I dont blame the staff. I blame the manager. He should ALWAYS have someone at the counter. 2 people making pizzas. 2 people prepping the orders. One person making the hot and readys and the other working the counter. The system he currently have of 2 people making pizzas, 2 people prepping orders and the girl walking around with an attitude and saying she is confused (she said she was confused times) is just not working. He needs to lead his crew the proper way. If he had someone working the counter at all times, this mess wouldnt have happened. There were 16 people waiting inside and outside to...

I got the nastiest pizza the other day. And they didn’t even apologize or act like they cared. Gross. This was NOT delivery folks. I walked in and picked this up. How even?! Who would knowingly serve this?

My educated guess: someone poured Jalepenos on the pizza straight from the container and a ton fell out along with the juices and made the pizza too wet. When they pulled it off the oven, the pizza probably folded because the dough did not properly cook. The cheese and other topping fell off and they unfolded the pizza leaving toppings underneath and then CUT IT and SERVED IT. Don’t go to this location. They clearly do not care about your food.
