McDonald's — Restaurant in Long Beach

I asked for a side of large fries with the large fries I already got from my large Big Mac meal. One is medium smh. You have to tell your workers to be more on point in listening on someone’s order and also double checking all items are correct. Very disappointing.

Update 9/7/23 Busy and only using one drive through still. McDonald’s app didn’t go through so that was a whole dilemma Ice cream machine still down smh.

Update 9/22/23 One of the worst McDonald’s so busy 15 days later and still only has one drive thru working. Need new workers and new management

Update 10/17/23 Almost a month and they finally opened the other lane but still haven’t fixed the order board smh. Get it together.

Update 10/26/23 Well only one lane again and still a broken order board smh.

Update 11/10/23 Still one lane. Other lane now it’s starting to break smh. Was told I can’t have my receipt ask next window I did and they said they will give it to me plus it to the side. Next I get a whole story about people lives but they never gave me my receipt. I was told to ask for one. Lol. I asked both places for my receipt so somewhere there’s miscommunication. Also I get home and my kids ask for their toys and they forgot to add the toys. SMH. This place is really falling apart. New workers and new management please.

Update 1/6/24 Person at intercom was rude when I took my order. Also the line took 10-15m just to get order. SMH.

Update 1/19/24 One of the order boards are broken again wow and I was ready to order off app and get my free medium fries Friday but they said it doesn’t work. Disappointment. Fix this issue. This keeps happening.

Update - 2/2/24 This place is falling apart. It’s been a while since I got breakfast and I decide to commit to getting something and ofcourse they can only accept cash smh. This place needs an overhaul. Nothing goes right at this location.

Update - 9/27/24 Disrespected by from cashier I think Buke is the name. 4pm refused to refill my drink. It’s takes two seconds I always give you service plenty of my service. Management needs to fix this. This was poor service on his part. New workers needed ones who will do their job with proper service or get new management. Also poor construction of where the cashiers are placed the line builds up right in front of the door blocking people from entering. Also have soda machine available for refill to customers instead of behind the counter. That’s just poor planning. Also stop making the burgers and sandwiches sloppy. Sauce and ingredients are all over the place. Also when I customize my burger please follow instructions. Everyone should be able to read what is requested. SMH. Fix this and maybe you’ll get another star.

Update - 11/21/24 First they forgot my condiments smh. Next your workers at your drive through windows need better attitudes especially the first window who accepts payment. That gentleman is rude and shut the window on me without offering a receipt he just told me to move forward. Smh. Fix this.

Update - 1/5/25 A couple issues the drive thru was really slow and long work on being more efficient. Lastly the nuggets we ordered for kids and myself were old and not fresh that was disappointing please work on...

It's really crazy that McDonald's has become a place where rich people take their kids to eat. They're going to call me old because I'm going to say back in the day the food was much cheaper, but adjusted for inflation these days the food is overpriced. And although it's great comfort food, you know it's unhealthy, but that's your choice so they get no stars deducted from their score about that 😎😎

One of this places weak points is the drive-thru. Always always busy, cramped, can be a mess to navigate. And it's absolutely sad to see 12 to 20 cars, all idling their engines at the same time, literally waiting for burgers. READ THAT AGAIN. FOR BURGERS. McDonald's should ban drive-throughs, for the sake of the world. Is it really that bad parking your car and getting out. Once again that's not McDonald's fault, except for the poor layout, that's the price they pay for being popular.

The food quality from this particular McDonald's is excellent. It has always represented itself well. crispy golden fries, well made burgers.

I have yet to receive anything from them that looks poorly put together.

They have an app you can use to get daily deals, and if you know how to mobile order it'll make your life a lot better than waiting and drive-thru.

Still their customer service is great, they try their best, it is located in a nice place in Long Beach.

Just try to avoid the drive-thru at all costs

Edit: Just to let you know I had an absolutely horrible experience with this McDonald's the other night. I waited in the mobile order parking spot for over 20 minutes, people got served all around me, and then almost exactly at 9:00 p.m. they locked the door and I had to ring the store through the buzzer, which clearly infuriated the management. I told him how long I've been waiting and then a few minutes later someone came out with my order, still incorrect. I just don't understand what happened, you guys...

Not all McDonald's are the same. Which is why I drive out of my way to this location. I usually order a double 1/4 pounder with cheese - no mustard or ketchup - add Big Mac sauce, shredded lettuce and extra pickle. No big deal right? You'd be surprised at how many McD's get that wrong. Not this location. They have always been spot on, they get it right every time. And, as an added bonus, the fries are always hot and fresh! Does anyone really like cold and soggy fries? Definitely not me.

The people that work there are amazing and always greet me with a smile. That, to me, shows excellent management. They hire the right people to make their business thrive. You would think every customer service business would grasp that little attention to detail but, sadly they don't. I've never been disappointed in the customer service at this McD's!!!

The dining room is really clean and usually pretty laid back. It can get a little hectic when Millikan lets out but hey, all that class work makes a kid hungry.

I give this McD's 5 stars because of the attention to detail (like a special order), employee friendliness (they make you feel wanted as a customer), and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Great job guys. Please keep up...
