Tasty Food To Go - Thai & Lao — Restaurant in Long Beach

My husband and I stumbled upon this gem about three years ago after a visit to the Long Beach Aquarium. We wanted to grab a bite before heading back to Orange County, and all I can say is, this place is nirvana.

Since then, it has become our absolute favorite Thai restaurant, not just in Long Beach, but in all of LA and Orange County (and we've tried a lot). I’ve never gone out of my way to drive 30 minutes for takeout before, but this place is worth every mile. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is always warm, welcoming, and kind.

Today, something especially motivated me to finally write this review: The Thai Papaya Salad. I was just going to take a few bites of it before diving into my usual Pad See Ew (which I adore), while my husband got his go-to curry or Panang. But the salad was so bright, fresh, and flavorful that I couldn’t stop eating it, and that’s all I ended up having! That’s how good it was.

This restaurant is truly a treasure. We used to have a favorite Thai spot in San Diego, but we’re so grateful we found something even better, and closer to home. If you’re in the area, or even if you’re not, do yourself a favor and stop by. You...

I’m not sure if it was just the day we went but the food we got wasn’t as tasty as we thought it would be based on the reviews. We ordered 2 pad Thai, fried rice, and 2 pad see ew for a dinner with family.

The food was pretty mediocre in terms of taste. Everything just tasted salty and a bit oily but I didn’t get the signature flavors I was expecting out of the pad Thai and pad see ew. The pad Thai was missing some sweet, tangy flavor and the pad see ew also didn’t have that smoky/sweet and savory taste. I think it was edible but not my preferred taste for sure.

I was mainly disappointed about the flavors. We didn’t however, eat this 30 mins after picking up so that might have impacted flavors? Either way, this was my first time not really finishing my Thai food…I’d recommend pad Thai classic for better take out.

I wouldn’t say a were treated bad, but it just seemed like the woman at the register was busy or didn’t care for talking much. Just something I noticed as I tried to make small conversation. To be fair we weren’t there for the service and it’s a to-go spot so take that...

To this day, no other Thai place compares to the favor of this restaurant! 😍 My go-to(s) are Pad See Ew (my personal fav), Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Beef Jerky, and obviously a Thai tea. Everything on their menu is chef’s kiss…just scrumptious.🤤 I can’t put into the words the out of this world favor you will experience, seriously. 😘

Not only is the food amazing, but their staff are always so KIND and attentive to your needs (plus the owner is so funny hehe). They truly have it all - food + great prices + stellar customer service = PERFECTION!! 🤩🥳 WOWWW!! We will be back again! Highly recommend, definitely telling all my family and friends about this excellent experience. 😊💖💕
