So this is the newest restaurant in Longmont.
Due to it being new seems it's been pretty busy.
It's great to have a new restaurant , seems it has a wide array of options, menu is pretty diverse.
However I noticed there's very few options of dishes below $15.
The food is presented well, the menu is well layed out , the atmosphere is clean.
There seems to be plenty of staff on the clock however not sure the personnel is being efficiently used.
There were about 6-8 personnel on the floor.
Since I was having trouble deciding ordered a small item to get started while I decided on other items.
Luckily so as food took longer than expected. Some table that arrived after were served first. I arrived when there were hardly any customers. After ordering my dish after initial item it took 35-38minutes for what would consider fairly simple items.
Since restaurant hasn't been operating for even a week I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I hope they can improve their operation in Timeliness in serving food. Checking back on tables for refills. Being more proactive in searing customers and making sure they have the proper utensils, napkins. There was no salsa with taco.
As far as the food . The items were wide varied as far as satisfaction, value and tastiness.
Ceviche micro tostada $9+ 2 stars.
While the octopus tasted well there was hardly any seafood at all. The ceviche made the tostadas soggy quickly. Most of the ceviche was more veggies than actual ceviche.
The tostada was placed on top of a layer of lettuce. Lettuce has no business in a ceviche dish. It probably didn't help with the lettuce to prevent the tostada from absorbing the water and getting soggy.
Taco de birrea- 3.5 stars.
the taco looked great. I ordered de chivobor hoat which is rarely sold. Bit I figured since it name is in the restaurant name would be superb.
To start out it tasted like beef. It was a bit tougher than. Expected same like most venues that sell birria because of the hype of quesabirrias. So if you're ok with that quality you'll be satisfied. If Burris is authe tic and delicious it shouldn't need cheese and will be more enjoyable.
Torta ahogada carnitas - 4.5 stars.
Tmsurprisingly was delicious. The carnitas were above average. The bread was perfect. However the sauce was perhaps thicker than. Usual which can be good but tasted too much like rago sauce. I liked the spice level which made it better than would have been otherwise.
While the price is not bad probably needing tad more carnitas.
Jamaica water.- while it was not overly sweet I think could of used tad kore flavor. The texture seemed like had some sort of emulsifier thickener. While it was not bad think a thinner straw alone would help be able to get a better taste of it.
I would return to try other items, however I don't know about their seafood, I was tempted to try a molcajete but wanted to try a variety.
My server was quite attentive even though maybe overbooked, he was as courteous and professional as van be. Believe his...
Read moreI would like management or owners to please contact me. Arlin was a horrific waitress. I had ordered a large house margarita and when I got it it tasted like orange juice. I found this random as I’ve had margaritas here before. The table next to us ordered a margarita and it looked normal. My fiancé does not drink alcohol but to further prove it tasted just like orange juice I had him try it. He (a non-alcohol drinker) thought too that it tasted like orange juice. I tried to get the waitresses attention. After several attempts I assumed she just didn’t see me. Then she turned and looked at me and acknowledged me and proceeded to walk past me and ignore me. There is no possible way she didn’t see me. It was very apparent she turned and looked at me and saw that I asked for assistance. Finally a lovely young man who I’ve had as a waiter before came and assisted me. He got me a new margarita but it was a small instead of a large. I didn’t want to mention that to him as I know it wasn’t his fault and that he is actually a thoughtful good waiter. But I was charged for the large margarita. On the couple occasions that Arlin did come to our table she seemed annoyed and angry. I’ve never met this woman in my life. I wasn’t rude or messy or anything at all. It was bizarre and uncomfortable and just unfair. I do plan to leave further reviews of this woman to warn people as there was no reason what so ever for her to be unfriendly and ignore me. It was very apparent it was purposeful. Also I’ve been to this establishment many times and been given margaritas that look and tasted like they normally do. I truly initially thought perhaps I had been given the wrong drink prior to her acting so unfriendly. I wasn’t mean when asking about the drink… It was a very outrageous experience but at the very least I would like the difference in what a large vs small margarita costs or just a half margarita from a civil human, it isn’t about money. But being someone who has visited many times im very...
Read moreWe have visited both locations, and they both have amazing food every single time. We have loved everything that we've tried at both places. We always go for the birria since it's hard to find a place in CO that has authentic birria, de chivo, and not beef. We've tried it in many different ways, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, the quesobirria tacos, the plate, torta, etc. Every single time, delicious & tender, never disappoints! There is a noticeable difference in the service between the two locations, at least for us. The service isn't terrible at the Longmont location, it just isn't as good as the experience you get in Greeley. The Greeley location is a lot smaller, but the kind, friendly, family like service you get there is second to none. The staff there talks to you like you're family and is always enthusiastic to serve you with a smile on their face and friendly banter. We're hoping that eventually we'll get the same type of service at the Longmont location, but so far it hasn't happened. The service is fine, our waitress takes our order & everything comes out timely. That's about it. On our last visit my daughter even said, "Wow, she seems miserable to have to be here." Like it hurt the waitress to smile. Very cold encounter. And while it doesn't affect the food, it does affect the overall dining experience. The overall atmosphere is always nice. It's a clean restaurant with nice decorations and some very beautiful artwork on the walls. The mens bathroom could use some work. One of the doors is broken and doesn't close right. Once locked, it won't open. My son had to crawl under the door to get out of the stall after he got locked inside of it. Overall, awesome food, if you're looking for some authentic birria, don't miss this location. They also have great seating outdoors when the weather is nice. Service could...
