This Perkins has taken a serious downhill turn over the last year.
Our previous visit is going to be our last. Our server wasn't quit surly but she was NOT friendly. Bad start. And then, when she came with our coffee's, she put the carafe and 2 cups on the table. She couldn't be bothered to pour our first cups of coffee. Unheard of. I ordered the "Everything Omelette" with hash browns. After about a 10 or so minutes, my wife's plate came and it was OK, but mine was embarrassing. The omelette itself was literally about half the size of the picture in the menu, it had a few sprinkles of cheese instead of the nice serving shown in the picture and had less than half the toppings advertised in the menu. It went downhill from there. The hash browns were not only paper thin, but they were hockey puck hard.
I waited a few minutes to report the problem to the server but she dissapeared. I had to get up and locate the manager to tell him about it. He offered to replace them with breakfast potatoes and I agreed. When the waitress FINALLY delivered the potatoes, I asked her if this was what the omelette always looked like. Her snarky reply was "Well, its a 3 egg omelette. I DIDN'T make it." No $-hit Sherlock. At this point I had finished maybe half of the omelette but I was done. No appetite after Little Miss Snarky and a pathetic attempt at serving a pathetic plate.
By this time, my wife was NOT PLEASED. She called over the manager and told her about all of the problems. The manager noticed I had moved my plate (still full of rock hard hash-browns and half-eaten omelette) to the edge of the table and asked if I was done. I said yes. My wife then said to take her plate as well even though she had not finished even half. She felt bad about eating her meal while I sat with an almost inedible plate.
The manager took our plates and offered to take the entree's of the ticket. Well, she did that but still charged for our $5.00 in coffees (seriously?). You serve us a crappy meal but can't take the coffee's off. The same coffee's BTW that our waitress was too lazy to pour for us.
I'm done with this place. Way too many other better options in town. Do yourself a favor and...
Read moreI went here for lunch with my daughter because it's been about five years since we've lived in a place that had a Perkins. The food was awesome just like we remembered but the waitress was super rude and inattentive. Couldn't help but feel like it was personal, too, because we watched her serve all the other tables around us but she ignored us, had to ask multiple times for napkins, never offered us refills, and after we were full, we waited about 20 mins for her to come back. Tried to flag her down multiple times and ended up having to go up front to ask for boxes. I told the guy working how frustrated I was and that when she brought the receipt she didn't ask if we wanted anything else (my daughter wanted dessert) and she avoided eye contact when she placed it on the table and walked away. I asked the guy to ring me up for that and we would just take it to go but the dude instead apologized, said he wouldn't charge for the slice of cake and even discounted our meal. Later we got home and my daughter opened the box to find they had made a heart out of whipped cream on the side of the cake. I wasn't sure if we'd come back after dealing with our waitress but the host and hostess who were working that day did something so sweet for my daughter and it made us smile- we'll definitely be coming back. Hopefully sitting with a different waiter/ waitress next time. Thank you guys for being so...
Read moreWe used to LOVE going to Perkins, but since moving to Longmont, we no longer go. This place is barely functioning. Every time we've gone there, it's been subpar and the way they run this place is questionable. I've watched people walk back into the kitchen area because there's never anyone at the front to take their payment, people have left after walking in and not being taken to a table, and I've heard people complain their food is cold/soggy and that their waitress hasn't been back to their table.
The last straw for us was when we ordered one of their milkshakes for my SO's birthday. When we've been to other Perkins' in the past, the milkshakes were awesome. But what we got was literally barely frozen chocolate milk in a standard beverage cup. We literally thought it was a joke at first. We asked our waitress if this was standard and she just said "I don't know." So...yeah. That gives a good idea about the service here. I left a review about all of this to corporate, and they forwarded my comments to the manager here. He called me and said "oh I apologize, I wasn't there that day, but we'll review with our staff what we're doing wrong." Then he said he was going to send me a few certificates to come back and give them a try again. Well this was a month ago and guess what? No certificates. Guess I shouldn't have expected anything different. Disappointed is an...
