Quarters Bar + Arcade is an absolute gem that has captured my heart with its delightful combination of entertainment, inclusivity, and a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat.
One of the standout features of Quarters is their self-serve beer wall. It's a beer lover's dream come true, offering a wide selection of craft brews to choose from. Being able to pour my own pint and sample different flavors added an interactive and enjoyable element to my visit. It's a unique touch that sets Quarters apart from other establishments.
But the fun doesn't stop there. Quarters boasts an impressive range of games, with their Skee-Ball Leagues being a personal favorite. The friendly competition and lively atmosphere of the leagues add an extra layer of excitement to an already entertaining evening. It's the perfect activity for friends, colleagues, or anyone looking to test their skills and have a great time.
For pinball enthusiasts like myself, Quarters is a paradise. With four pinball machines, including the amazing AC/DC machine, I found myself happily lost in a world of flashing lights and immersive gameplay. The attention to detail and maintenance of these machines is commendable, ensuring an authentic and exhilarating pinball experience.
What truly sets Quarters apart is its commitment to inclusivity. The non-gendered bathrooms reflect their dedication to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons. Quarters Bar + Arcade, along with its owners, Luke and Emily, proudly support and ally with the LGBTQ+ community. Their diligent efforts to foster inclusivity are evident in every aspect of the establishment. It's heartwarming to see a business go above and beyond to make everyone feel valued and respected.
From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the games and beverages on offer. It's clear that they genuinely care about ensuring everyone has a fantastic time.
If you're looking for a place where you can unwind, let loose, and embrace a sense of community, Quarters Bar + Arcade is the perfect destination. With its self-serve beer wall, Skee-Ball Leagues, and fantastic selection of pinball machines, you'll be guaranteed an unforgettable experience. And above all, you'll feel the genuine commitment to inclusivity and acceptance that Quarters exudes. It's a true testament to the dedication and values of Luke and Emily, the owners, and their...
Read moreThis is a fantastic spot and a great idea. Let's start at the top:
-Great beer selection at a criminally affordable price. I think it was around 15(?) beers on tap? they charge you per ounce. I hit the 32oz limit (which can be extended) and I think I was around 15 bucks? Probably less since I had a bunch of games as well.
-Games are cheap, you won't break the bank. Keep swiping that bracelet and have a good time. Almost everything was a quarter except for pinball at buck hunter.
-Staff is wonderful.
-Game selection is good, but I think it could be a little better.
-Which leads me to my suggestions, which are anecdotal but hopefully helpful. My first idea is I really like the 4 man pac-man table, you should get rid of the regular tables and get more of this kind of cocktail/sitting arrangement. Let me play games while munching on food or drinking more beer!
I'd like to see more 2-4 player co-op games. Give me a reason to stand in front of this cabinet with my buddies and keep dropping quarters. I realize a lot of them can be hard to find or really expensive. Personal favorites are games like: Metal Slug (any of them) Armored Warriors Rampage Neo-Geo Cabs with multiple games like Crossed Swords/Fatal Fury/Samurai Showdown/Metal Slug etc Alien vs Predator DnD: Tower of Doom/Shadows over Mystara Gauntlet Golden Axe Sunset Riders The Simpsons Contra Ninja Baseball Bat Man
non co-op Any capcom fighting game Street Fighter 2
And here we are at the end. I really like this place and I want it to succeed and be a regular haunt for me. I wish you guys the best of luck and I'll try to get down there on a regular basis to give you...
Read moreI'm vexed, a little, because I very much wanted a barcade in Longmont, and it feels like the space Quarters has to live in is not big enough for either a bar or an arcade, let alone both. It's definitely on the small side, and the game selection is limited - I would love a Soul Calibur machine for example, and a rail-shooter like Time Crisis would probably be popular. But it's so CHEAP - you can't play games for 25 cents anywhere else that I know of anymore. The beer and cider are really good as far as I can tell, as someone who knows nothing about beer and cider - I like that the self-serve option allows me to try things and decide what I want before getting a whole glass of it. It seems very cheap to drink there in that way; I don't know if getting hammered would be practical, but it doesn't seem like a "getting hammered" kind of place.
Overall, it feels like Quarters itself rules. It's the BUILDING that's the problem. I imagine when it's less new the crowds will die down a bit, and it'll be glorious. I definitely intend to make...
