NewCastle Comics & Games — Local services in Longmont

This is an awesome shop. Very organized and well kept. The guy behind the counter was also very polite. Tons of new release issues with some of the previously released ones of the series still on the shelves just behind the new ones (and a few variants as well). Some pretty cool key issues on the wall behind the back issue collection which while not very large, does have some pretty iconic single issues and near full runs of some relatively newer series. Three full 8 foot tall (or taller) bookshelves of graphic novels and omnibuses to browse as well. There is a ton of stuff for board games and the dungeons and dragons crowds. While I have no experience with that market, this shop did have what appeared to me at least, as an extensive selection of various game pieces and small figures. I was only in the market for new comic books so I didn't browse the rest of the shop too much but I was able to browse around, find the comics I was looking for, AND a bin to store them in at all at a final price of a few dollars cheaper than a couple of the other stores I've been to. Was visiting from AZ and checking stores while on vacay. Great little shop. Very clean and open design. Staff very helpful and informative and willing to engage in conversation unlike most of the stores I found north of them (I only checked out stores in Longmont/Loveland/Greeley/Ft. Collins). The atmosphere was such a warmer feeling and didn't have that stuck in the 90s live in my parents basement feel of a comic store (best way I can think of) than a few of the other stores I visited in Loveland and Greeley. Loved the drawer system utilized for the back issues which also aides in the clean look of the store. I was only interested in the comic half of the store, but they do have a lot of gaming offerings. Definitely gonna make it a point to come back when I make my way back...

Always a favorite spot. My partner and I drop in for fun drinks when walking around downtown. I've collected all the Sailor Moon Sailors! They always have a great selection of trending and niche boardgames, DND figures, black light posters, small figurines, and, of course, comics. I'm always impressed with their children's comic section too, and they're awesome about ordering anything I want. I've consistently come in here to buy my partner gifts that I am a complete novice on (we have different tastes in comics) - the owner never makes me feel foolish, and always helps me make a decision on what would be the most knowledgeable gift in my price range. He's even held a few things for me before so I can pick them up on my way home from work....
