Scrumptious — Restaurant in Longmont

Done with this place! Done with the rude customer service! Done! Done! Done! My wife and I spend an average of $200-$300 a month at this place and we have over looked rude employee after rude employee (Not to mention we tip very very well knowing that we get a lot and its time consuming) but after tonight we will never go back. Last night my wife and I went in to a get a weeks worth of ice cream. (6 pints and three smalls of flavors we had never tried before) First thing out of the young males mouth was "i dont think i can sell you that much ice cream ", well buddy we do this on a weekly basis and its never been an issue before. If the line gets backed up we will step to the side and let you help the, knowing that our order takes some time. From the start I could he was irritable with us, but we looked past it. Then after 10 minutes of already being there I was kicked out for not having a mask on. I cannot wear a mask due to having asthma and onset lung disease. My wife had hers on, we both respect the new mandatory mask law. We both tried to explain to him that I have health problems and cannot wear a mask which has been ordered by my doctor. Nope, that didn't matter he kicked me out anyways. My wife and I were in no way rude to him. We have been to many Longmont restaurants and stores and this has never been an issue nor have I ever been treated so poorly after explaining my situation. So now I'm done giving this place my money, we will find an ice cream shop that has customer service and understands the laws about wearing mask in Colorado. Please educate your employees. The chick working around 2:45 Saturday January 18, 2025 she was the only one there I’m pretty sure i let her know ahead of time that i wasn’t really ready and i needed to weigh out the candy to know what i had to pay and then she wasn’t being very negotiable with letting me just take off a couple items, then she insulted me because i had just happen to have the same thing happen to me last time she worked she made sure to announce this to everyone shipping in that moment and honestly i’ve not felt more disrespected and embarrassed in a long ass time like dude that was extremely uncalled for, i’ve lived in longmont my entire existence on this planet and i have never been treated this way by anyone in this town. life is hard enough as it is. can you maybe like not add to that. i’m sorry that me being 1.50$ short and needing to decide what i need to do was that huge of an issue for you. I hope you are able to experience life in a way that convinces you to choose to not contribute to the negative disrespect so nobody else ever has to deal with your child like mind like this event today again. honestly...

I went into this store with my girlfriend and three of her young siblings. We were in the store for maybe 10-15 minutes, just letting the kids look around and pick anything they wanted to get. At one point the “manager” of the store approached my girlfriend and directly accused her of stealing something, he then proceeded to go into the back. I can tell you she was very offended and it quickly soured both her, her siblings, and my day. My girlfriend approached another employee who was working at the front counter and showed them the entire contents of her backpack. She was very embarrassed and I was honestly infuriated. Needless to say we left without making a purchase. Great way to drive out business, so I sincerely hope the owners of this business look into a replacement manager. I think it’s needless to say any amount of money saved by accusing customers of stealing is offset by a loss of business both now and in the future.
