Wahoo's Fish Taco — Restaurant in Longmont

I have been coming here since opening day and have also enjoyed there food and service..... Until today! I watched the lady behind the counter argue with 2 customers because they got the wrong meal and the employee made it seem like it was there fault. One guy also waited for over 20 mins for his meal and never got it so he asked for his money back, the lady started to argue with him for about 5 minutes before finally refunding his meal he never got. Then it comes to me, I ordered a meal that is $7.95 on the menu board and a meal I eat every time, I did not add or remove any items to it as I like the way it is. The lady that didn't really speak English told me my total was $14.87 so I asked my so much, so told me the prices went up and taxes. So I paid and signed my receipt that just gave a total with no info on what it's for, then she hands me a itemized copy that says my meal is $10 with the addition of extra meat that I didn't ask for. So I go back up and tell them I didn't ask for the extra meat and would like that part of the charge refunded, the lady tells me she can't do that cause it's already be processed. I just said "F this" in my head and figured I would probably eat it cause I just worked a 12 hour day and missed my lunch so I could probably use the extra steak. After a 15 minute wait I finally get my meal to go and headed to my car to take the 30 minute drive home. I now just got home and opened the box to find out I have about 1/4 of the normal steak amount even though I was charge for "extra", the steak is also so over cooked it's like chewing on a rubber ball, the only flavor I can taste is black pepper, I have white beans instead of the black beans I ordered, I also have califlower rice instead or normal rice and finally I have little hard sticks of something that was cooked with it and I do mean hard like tree branch hard sticks that I almost choked on. Like I said before I have been a customer since day one and I really do mean that, I was the 3 customer in that door when they opened years ago and eat there about 3 times a week but after today I will never ever eat there again. I will also be returning my meal that I got tonight and I almost choked on and demand my money back.

I really wish I could give them a negative...

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!! My intense affection for this place is based on 2 big factors:

1. The staff is amazing. This is a well-managed group of friendly, competent, hard-working folks who absolutely know what they're doing in and out of the kitchen. We've been frequenting various Wahoo's restaurants for years. This one's our absolute favorite.

2. It's so much more than just fish tacos! Don't get me wrong, we love ALL their fish (wahoo, salmon, flounder) in the different preps (grilled, Cajun, fried). But the other protein choices are astounding in their variety: chicken, carnitas, tofu, shrimp, carne asada. Veggies, too. You can have these in various combinations in tacos, burritos, bowls, and sandwiches. There's a paleo option! Ceviche! Soups, salads, appetizers, and an incredible salsa bar. Kid's meals! Loaded nachos! Everything's fresh and tasty. Our grown kids grew up eating at Wahoo's. They still miss it.

Did I mention happy hour from 3-6, all day on Sundays, with food and drink specials and a legendary margarita? Also, patio dining in front and out back.

Ordered The Paleo platter the combo two which was two fish tacos with beans and rice but I got just beans and the kids quesadilla and fries. This was way more food than the three of us needed kids meal is probably size appropriate The fish tacos had really big pieces of well-seasoned fish some fantastic coleslaw and a sauce on it they were really good and I was stuffed after one and a quarter. The black beans I was not expecting much because well they're black beans they are fantastic and the side of black beans was darn near a meal in itself. The paleo platter my wife got she ordered with shrimp and carne asada. We were really impressed with the amount of shrimp and well to be honest the amount of everything that came. The vegetables were cooked perfectly not too soft just a little crunch to them everything was extremely fresh tasting The carne asada was cooked very nicely same with the shrimp. Do yourself a favor If you're around one of these spots definitely stop in. We are here for eight more days and I can definitely see us...
