Chicken Express — Restaurant in Longview

This is actually one of my favourite restaurants. I had never been inside of this particular one until recently. Upon arrival I was hit in the face with a wall of funky smell. I still have no idea where it came from but after being there for a small while I got used to it. However upon eating eating my favourite chicken tenders I've ever tasted, and let me tell you, I've tried many a chicken tender from many different restaurants and states, any stress I had melted away. On this day I had the company of my mother. I'm sure she's eaten at a branch of this restaurant at some point in her life. She ordered the basic chicken and some sides. I saved a tender and waited for her to finish her meal then offered the last piece to see if she liked it. She protested. Told me she would only try half. However the moment that poor half of a tender met her mouth her hands were scrambling for the last piece as her eyes lit up. I had a great laugh and was glad I knew someone else who loved chicken express's food as much as I do. I do regret that chicken express is not a part of "waitr". While I was using "menu runners" I ordered from them several times a month. But with poor service from menu runners I had to switch services. Chicken Express crew, if you're reading this have some pity on swamped-with-work-souls that just want some good food to take the edge off and sign up with waitr? I can promise you'll have my money for decent sized orders at least a few...

I order through the drive thru and they were busy, I knew that there would be a wait no biggie. I knew that with ordering gizzard's they dont cook until ordered no big deal. I ordered gizzards and spicy chicken tenders. After paying they asked me to pull forward while they finished my order, once again no big deal. 20 minutes later still no order, I went inside and finally got my order and an attitude from one of the younger employees because of my question on why it took so long. I blame the long wait on management but did not ask for the attitude from the young employee, which I didnt comment nor did management do anything about it either. Got home the spicy chicken tenders were way over cooked and dried out, after 2 bites from 2 different tenders and a gallon of tea to wash down the dried out chicken tenders I threw them away. I do not recommend this Chicken Express based upon the rudeness of the staff member and the food...

To start customer service is terrible. They never greet you just " WHAT CAN I GET YOU" Second my kids and I were second from the window in the drive thru and a lady came out and took my credit card for payment. She never came back out. Turns out another girl gave my card to the vehicle at the window. Luckily that person was honest and gave my card back. I brought it to their attention that my card could have been easily stolen if that person wasn't honest. The manager never apologized and wouldn't even give an extra anything for their mess up. On top of that we had already waited 10 min for her to tell us it will be 14 more minutes. So instead of waiting my kid settled for a different piece of chicken that turned out terrible.
