Do not trust this guy at all! My husband went there to get an honest professional opinion on his cards he wanted to sell. This guy tells him that his cards are worth about a buck each and he would pay him $40 dollars for them! Now these were not 1989 Topps cards, these were 2021 Topps Gallery autographs, panini mosaic parallels, Bowman platinum parallels, Topps heritage high numbers. My husband made the mistake of being honest and trusting this jerk explaining money was tight and he didn't even have enough gas to make it home and this horrible excuse of legitimate businessman took full advantage of the situation and robbed my husband out of 54 cards for $50! You should be ashamed of yourself buddy and I hope you are never in a tight spot and needing someone to be decent and at least pay half of what something is worth, because karma has a funny way of teaching people to be more humble and look out for their fellow man. FYI it's no secret it cost money to keep a physical store up and running but I'm sure you are doing fine $450 boxes of cards or $30-40 packs of them. Why do you feel like you have to take advantage of someone who was simply trying to get some bill and grocery money for his family by selling the only thing of value he owns? I will be letting everyone in Longview and the surrounding areas know what kind of person...
Read moreGood people with obvious genuine enthusiasm about what they do! Card nerds can really unite here! And they have Pokemon cards! Expertly priced. They have some older sets that are getting hard to find, and already graded cards. I like how they keep the loose individual cards in sleeves/cases. I hadn't actually seen a first edition before, but they had a few! * Edit* after reading some of the super salty reviews here, I feel inclined to say--even though I haven't actually tried to sell my cards anywhere, much less here--that, regardless, because of my genuine good experience here @ Sports Card Shop, I believe these salty individuals have leaned on a desperate idea that their cards are worth more than they are--even huge collections (tho some those salty reviews are prolly just plain silly, as usual). I'm into Pokemon, and I monitor their value online, and they are still, on average, worth more or less a couple bucks each. For good measure, I pray to the universe that no individual should ever feel pressured into selling their collection because of monetary need. My humble solidarity in understanding and communion for...
Read moreThis is what a LCS is all about! I recently got back into collecting again since the 80s/90s era. This "hobby" has changed so much over the 30+ years! It can be so intimidating/confusing getting back into this! I have a younger daughter that showed interest and a wife that supports it. The first time I entered this shop with my daughter I explained my renewed interest and daughter's newfound interest! Next thing I know she is gifted so many cards (not just base! #'ed auto's) this is what it is about! Next visit I spot a Bo I liked in a set he just purchased, not yet sorted not yet for sale. I get home wife hand me the card. THIS is what the hobby is about! I PC Bo. Next trip with wife I find a stack of 60+ Bo's I'm out the door with an awesome deal! (I feel I won) "Junk Wax" era or not. THIS is what the hobby is about! Wife spotted a sorting tray she decided I really needed and she wanted to buy, he threw it in with the Bo's. THIS is what the hobby is about! Definitely the Premiere East TX card shop! Thank you guys for...
