I used to love coming here, and I think Panda Express definitely has some of the best variety when it comes to Longview food.. but unfortunately the service and quality has declined recently. The past three, yes, three times I have gone through the drive-thru, which is never a quick line, I've been sent to park at the front of the store to anticipate an entree I didn't know wasn't cooked because they never warn you until after you order and get up to the window. Only once out of these three times did they remember my order and get it out to me on foot (after ten minutes, rather than five.) the other times I had to get out of my car and go inside, and they just had the food sitting there as if they were waiting for me. Would have been nice to be told that, and saved me the entire drive-thru excursion if I'd just gone inside. My other issue is that the food quality is just not what it was. I went through at 9:00 PM last night when it was to close at 10:00, and they must have all but ceased preparing fresh food, because my fried rice was tasteless, clumpy, and I discovered that it appeared they had mixed mostly white rice with whatever they had left of the fried. Misleading, not to mention gross. I would hope a restaurant that was to stay open for another hour would not stop preparing fresh food for its customers until 9:30, at the earliest, and that they'd at least tell you they were out of something if they didn't want to give you what you ordered. The staff are never very friendly. They sound like the last thing they want to do is serve you, and this is especially the case in the drive-thru. Read moreOn lunch break: Placed order in drive thru and waited in line for 4 minutes with two cars in front of me with no movement. I reversed out of line and went inside because I had no idea for what or for how long I was going to wait. Was told they were waiting on Orange Chicken and they had already plated the rest of my meal, four minutes prior and had it sitting on a cold counter top for another 2 minutes. My co-worker came in during this time and said after I left they were talking about why I was so angry - they didn't know. The reasons were thus: please tell people there is going to be a 6 minute wait in the drive thru. (I would have totally come in and ordered something else.) Also, don't plate food and leave it sitting on the cold counter. Cold shrimp with hot orange chicken makes bacteria and a gross lunch. Lastly, talking about customers behind their back - not professionally. I tried calling the store but was told by a guy who wouldn't give me his name to call back tomorrow, the MOD was on break. Going to work, doing the bare minimum, that only gets a person a C in school. It is A+ work to communicate effectively (like telling people about a wait) and to think ahead (like not plating food until it is time to plate all of it,) or talking bad about customers to other customers.
