This is my 2nd review of this store.. Did one 3 yrs.ago, but felt it relevant to update this.. I was very very disappointed the other day, I went shopping at ROSS, and although I didn't spend a fortune, I did buy several items..one of them was a ring that I wanted.. the clerk got it out of the case for me, & said she would leave it at the register for me, it was a very nice one, & perfect for a gift i had been searching for.. I told the clerk at the register ( a different clerk) that there was a ring up there for me, but apparently she didn't hear me, so with no reply, I mentioned it again.. knowing she heard me at this point, I assumed she had taken care of it, and so I paid for everything and left.. It wasn't til the next day that I realized there was no ring, so I called the store, explained what happened, & was told that they can't "hold" items.. I explained again that it had been set aside for me, but the clerk never put it in my order, and asked if they could please check to at least see if it was still in the store.. they said they "wouldn't know which one it was in the case", so I described it, in detail, very easy to find.. only 1 in stock~ Got the same answer.. " We can't hold things" for customers.. Worst customer...
Read moreI remember being so excited to go to Jansen Beach Mall with my girlfriend to go shopping at Ross. We were in heaven. Found cute outfits for amazing prices. We always wished we had our own in the Longview/Kelso area. Then we got one. How exciting, RIGHT? NO, not really. As anyone that has been raised in this area, well know,s we get the very small, half version of any store that decides to come here. Well this one isnt just a smaller version. I could stomach that for some good valued, cute outfits, but how about it "reads" like a Goodwill/junk store. Messy, over priced stuff/junk shoved all around. Boxes stacked in the aisles. Nothing like the Jansen Beach Ross from years ago. It was kept nice, just like any regular store. Well Its been here for years now, and I think I have been there maybe three times. Every time, I cross my fingers, and step through the front doors with hope and anticipation that it has maybe got a new manager, been cleaned up and changed. NOPE! Same old overpriced JUNK, AND FEEL! I still dream of those summer runs to the Jansen Beach Ross's. The good old...
Read moreROSS always need to improve on customer service. Most young cashiers I have been assisted by in the past, are rude and seem to not know how to handle the returns line versus the paying customers line. If I'm returning an item and customers are lined up in the paying line, I have to wait to be helped because the line is too long and whenever th incompetent cashier has decided to look over, glance my way and try &decide whether to assist or not, then Ross has issues! People &security in back watching out for Crooks make it too obvious and tend to stereotype. That's a dead give away. I enjoy shopping at Ross but dread the one long line, especially when they have two cashiers and management just doing their thing instead of taking charge and showing that they want to assist to get the line gone or moving by having every register open. You never see every cashier booth with a human available! These stores rack in thousands of dollars ever day! What is wrong with...
