I just moved and couldn't find my grinder to grind my coffee beans (Starbucks brand). I decided to call over to the Starbucks nearest to me, (Triangle mall location) and ask if they could grind the unopened bag of beans for me. I was very excited when the girl on the phone (I'm sorry I forgot her name but she was ever so kind) said they would gladly do it for me. Well I then realized my man had taken the keys to both vehicles by accident, but that was no worry as they (Starbucks) weren't too far from my new place. I proceeded to walk over there only intending to get the beans ground. When I arrived I was welcomed with a smile and a nice greeting. The barista's tended to the customers and when it came my turn, I asked if they could grind the beans and they asked how I wanted them ground and made sure they were ground to my liking. I then decided I wanted to order a drink and without hesitation they were ready to take my (complicated) order. (sorry barista's that's why I usually do it at home lol). They took my order and we're happy to serve me. My drink was nice and hot and flavored to perfection! Sorry to have written a novel for a review but as a (previous) barista, I truly appreciate it when baristas do there job and make the customers happy! :D It actually makes me miss being a barista (I am not a caregiver). So thank you ALL for your kindness and service....
Read moreNot many people know this small, yet important, fact about switching from Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time. DST begins at 2 am the second Sunday in March, which as we all know, means that 2 am magically becomes 3 am, eliminating 2:01-2:59.
Which brings me to my visit at this Starbucks at 6 am, Sunday, March 10. Eight and a half hours earlier, I was trying to set my phone alarm to 2:30 am so I could drive my wife and FIL to the airport two hours early for a 6:05 am flight.
I gave up and set my phone's timer for 4 3/4 hours only to have my wife wake me at 1:43 with 45 minutes to shower and get the car packed and on the road by 3:30 am.
At 4:40 I dropped my charges off at PDX and headed back to Longview where I desperately needed a grande Americano. Instead of the drive thru, I opted for counter service and was served and on my way in no time.
The place was clean, Americano perfect, and the staff friendly, given they went through the same time vortex I had. And bonus points for this Starbucks, it opens every day at 4 am!
Bottom line, there's no 2:30 am on the second Sunday...
Read moreThe past few visits in the drive thru the girl with long dark hair tells me to order more chai when i order because sometimes i have to ask for more. It really depends on who makes it and more chai would often be too much. She kept arguing with me about chai. Most of the time i dont have to ask for more. Then she said if the chai is low the pump wont work as good so maybe i should ask if the chai is low before ordering so i know how many pumps to ask for. What i want to know is why is it an issue if i need a little more chai once in a while? Anyway july 5th she made my drink and it was all chai hardly any milk. It was disgusting. I had to go buy milk to add to it. I feel like she did that on purpose because i sometimes have to ask for more chai in my drink and i didnt ask for more when ordering. I will NOT be back to this location. I feel bullied! That drink she made was disgusting and she did...
