I know it is a matter of personal choice but I think Taco Bueno and Taco Bell don't serve the same kinds of food, and Taco Bueno has a much more quality product. When you walk in, look at the sign on the left and you will see their schedule of food preparation. The food they sell is freshly made and always consistent. The salsa and other freebies are not in packets.
This store also has an older staff, and they are super friendly. The store is always clean. I've never seen anyone grouchy. Parking is ample.
The only sore point is the drive through. I rarely use it, but it is an extreme turn off the street to get into it, then the microphone and speaker are super close to a busy street. I'm sure the staff have a hard time hearing me and I have a hard time hearing them. Nonetheless they have always gotten my order ↪ and been super friendly when I got to the window.
The store is a couple of blocks from the hospital so there is a diverse clientele. I never tire of hearing little old ladies order a "big freaken __" .
This store is in a busy traffic area... both cars and feet. But it is worth the trouble to stop. They have free WiFi. They've never messed...
Read moreMy first time eating food from this location and it wasn't good at all. We got the muchacho platter and a taco salad. The taco salad was larger than we expected, but the muchacho platter was much smaller than expected. actually, the plastic plate itself was the right size but they put such small portions of each of beans, rice, guac, and sour cream that it didn't even fill the plate. I dont expect the plate to be overflowing, but i don't expect to see the bottom of the plate. About a tablespoon of beans, teaspoon of guac, teaspoon of sour cream. There was a decent portion of rice, however, the rice was flavorless and dry. The chicken in the tacos was flavorless and dry. The guac didn't even taste like guac, it tasted like some chemicals or something. The yummiest thing in the whole order was the queso. And the cheesecake churros are...
Read moreFood was sloppily put together. The food containers were placed sideways in a too small bag & all the toppings on the tostada had fell off to the side of the container. A salsa container was open placed inside the bag of cheesecake chimis which caused the cheesecake chimis to be completely covered in salsa. I was given a receipt for a totally different order. I took the food back to show them the mess ups & the order was remade but with attitude. The guy was slamming the food down slapping the toppings on the tostadas & when I asked for salsa the guy threw it in my hand. Very unprofessional. I normally don't complain about my food but I had no choice. I was really devastated about my cheesecake chimis being covered in salsa. That was my actual reason for going. Overall it was a bad experience!!!! I won't be going back to...
