Wow, we loved this place. Went here on a whim to get lunch with my wife and wasn't sure what to expect since the shared parking lot was packed due to holiday events happening at neighboring locations. When we walked in we were greeted with an extremely comfortable and friendly atmosphere even though the place wasn't all too busy yet. The decor was beautiful and the menu was filled with delicious sounding meals as well as a wide variety of wines, beers, and more. We each had a bowl of delicious corn and salmon chowder for an appetizer with freshly ground pepper the waitress had with her and it was truly amazing. My wife chose to have a chicken burger with added avocado and pickles and fries while I decided on a traditional triple stacked club on sourdough with a side salad. Her chicken burger was steaming hot when it arrived and she said it was extremely moist all the way through and delicious, the fries were tasty and didn't seem to be previously frozen and if they were ya fooled us. There was no taste of over used oil like you would find at many restaurants and they weren't salty either, yes I tried a few.
The salad was great, each piece of it tasted fresh and crispy like it was fresh from the garden. There was not a single hint of it being kept in sub-par refrigeration at all and both the ranch she had with her fries and the blue cheese I had with the salad tasted great, no blending of flavors from other foods were noted at any point in our meal.
The club sandwich was one of the best I've had in my adult life, and I'm 41 with the club being a favorite since I was a kid. The sourdough was perfectly toasted, the bacon was the perfect blend of crispy and chewy and it could not have been any sort of cheap bacon either cuz the cheap stuff most restaurants use doesn't taste that good ever. The ham, turkey, and cheddar tastes like fresh cut deli meats and cheeses that just arrived in delivery day. The lettuce was crispy in the sandwich as well as the tomato being I believe a beef steak tomato and perfectly ripened yet not overly juicy as found in most sandwiches these days at a restaurant.
My wife had never been here before and I had I ly been there when they were in their prior location on ocean beach highway in the old engine house pizza building when we had a company Christmas dinner there. When I was there for that 8 had the Pacific sautee, a delicious pasta dish with halibut, shrimp, and I believe it was sockeye salmon shucks I. A creamy lemon, butter, and herb sauce and I've been talking about that dish for years since, almost had it again today but felt I should try something else and I wasn't disappointed.
They also have Naan flat bread pizza on the menu which sounded delicious and it was a toss up between that and what I settled on.
The ambiance was delightful with holiday music playing which really made for an enjoyable meal with my spouse and we will definitely be returning in the future. It's hard to believe such a delightful eatery does exist in my home town and I'm pleased to have found it because it truly is a diamond found among a coal...
Read moreI'm giving this place 5 stars, because that's all they have available.... I would give it 20 if I could! This place has thee most, unbelievable, incredible, simply AMAZING CHICKEN CURRY SOUP! Yup, I said soup! I've never ever tasted anything so creamy and rich and just flat-out fantastic! I drive from Vancouver Washington to Longview, it's not a big deal 45 minutes or something, but I go there for the soup.
They only have the Curry soup on Wednesdays!! I don't know why? But that is it, Wednesdays only if you want to try the curry soup.
UPDATE; I've been back again now, 3 or 4 times trying different things...and I had their Peanut Chicken last night, BLOW YOU AWAY GOOD! I mean absolutely delicious! I had mine with the angel hair pasta but I believe they offer it also with rice pilaf.
Perfect Blend of spice, chicken, peppers, and the peanut sauce is crazy good! I've been telling my friends and family about this place, it is so so good and prices are so reasonable and fair! Everyone there I've met is absolutely professional, friendly, and very welcoming! I would encourage you to go.
Also, I had the smoked salmon corn chowder, it's just like their curry soup, so creamy, delicious, rich and just the right amount of smoked salmon flavoring, it's really unbelievable!
LOL...I don't think I've ever talked about soup like this LOL LMAO but it's just that crazy good! While I was there I decided to try some dessert and I have to tell you they have a lemon coconut cake that is just as good as a soup is in comparison holy smokes! Go check these guys out, its...
Read moreI am giving one star because the only good experience about this restaurant was the staff. They were very friendly and accommodating. Other than that.....my family used the room upstairs to celebrate my grandpa's 80th birthday party. My mother paid an obscene amount of money (around $500) for food for our party of about 20-25 people) the food was HORRIBLE. And we didn't even receive what was promised to us. We got some cheap bread sticks, one bowl of cesar salad, one bowl of garden salad, two pasta dishes (one beef, one chicken), and a cheese and cracker plate. They were supposed to give us beef over baby red potatoes and we got some weird beef pasta instead. I inquired about it to the wait staff and she said it was a misunderstanding in the kitchen and she would only be able to offer us a few free desserts. How disappointing. For the amount of money my mom paid for us all to eat they should have discounted our bill or gave us something more substantial or at least cooked up the food that we were supposed to receive. Highly dissatisfied with the food in this place I...
