My favorite Poke place in the Valley. The medium size bowl is more than enough food. The fish options are standard but the quality is better than most. The toppings and sides are all great and and taste fresh. I also love that you can add fried onion on top. The best part is the sauces that they mix together if the fish. They have such a great variety that it’s hard to go wrong. The restaurant itself is quite small and has only a couple of tables. The parking lot can also be a nightmare at certain times of the day. Although it’s a few cities over, the journey to 8oz Poke is definitely worth it!

Located in a strip mall off a major street I’ve eaten here a couple of times now and have found it to be pretty good. Walk up and order what you want as you go down the line. They have plenty of options to choose from and the food is pretty good. I choose to have have salmon, tuna, and octopus on top of rice and added a variety of toppings and sauce. Next time I’ll have to add a different sauce as I found the house sauce not have enough flavor for my liking. The people working behind the counter have always been pleasant to deal and have always given good recommendations when asked.

Located in a small plaza with a parking lot, making it easy to find parking. Fish is fresh and delicious. Crab meat is counted as a side, not a protein, which is a plus. Toppings are a little limited compared to other places but the quality is great. A medium bowl ended up being huge and comparable to a large in most other poke spots. We did takeout. It's more of a poke bar than restaurant--the inside has this cold sterile feel that many of these little restaurants tend to have, but most will not mind.

Update: The last time my wife and I ate here, we both got sick that night. After years of patronage, no more... they've gone downhill.

Original Review:

The poke is almost always good, with some caveats.

• The albacore has been overly fishy about 90% of the time in the past year. I'm no longer ordering it, sadly. • I've been 'Chipotle'd' on my scoops many times when the owners are working. • The price continues to rise. I always go with a large, which puts me at $21. I remember when it was $17. (I have been coming here and to the Sherman Oaks location for a long time)

• This one really rubbed me wrong. If you choose to Dine In, you will be charged extra tax. Okay, that is standard. I get it. I decided I'll take To Go and dine in anyway. Well, on my second time of doing this stunt, the Owner came out to scold me and let me know that I must choose Dine In if staying to eat in.

That money goes straight to the state. The restaurant doesn't see any of it in the end.

Really souring to interrupt a long-time patron's meal and scold them for something that is no skin off of your restaurant's back.

All About Poke is another fair option in the area. I've never had an issue with freshness, and the service has always been friendly and inviting. (Note, the staff other than the owners at 8oz, have typically been a...
