Alfred Coffee — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I am someone who never writes reviews but this experience was genuinely the worst I’ve ever been treated by a service worker. I had walked into the store around 6:25 and I completely understand that the store opens at 6:30. I was wondering if they had a restroom as I had been camping out for the song of skin event. The initial man I spoke to very kindly told me that they do have a restroom and was going to let me use it when the woman he was working with interrupted to state that they’re not open for another 5min. I completely understood and I walked out. When I came back 5min later the woman began telling me the bathroom was all of a sudden out of service. I can understand the frustration of an event happening so close and causing it to become busy but that doesn’t give you the right to decide who gets to use the restroom or not. Mind you I had no intention of using the restroom without purchasing something and I still continued to buy my three coffees regardless of the way I was treated. I’m currently regretting my decision and wished I gave my money to a company who actually cares about their customers. I was excited to try out a different spot in my neighborhood. I walked in to order, cheerful and smiling. 4-5 girls working all had their backs to me/the door. One had her phone out and was loudly laughing to her coworkers as she told a story. Despite them acknowledging I was standing at the register, they kept talking (heard an f bomb or two). Then someone from the back walks out and doesn’t greet me but says in a gruff way, “Are you waiting for an online order?” I said I had yet to be greeted but wanted to order. Iced oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon. $7 later, I picked up a drink with the honey sunk at the bottom and cinnamon floating over the ice. For a place that is known for artisan beverages, I was surprised to see such a lackluster attempt. The Owner has posted a response but the explanation is wrong because the machine was working fine and the reason for 20 min wait was simply the incompetence of one specific employee who also admitted that they forgot about my order that was sitting half made in the corner and when I finally asked about it the drink i was handed was wrong. No apology, no offering anything, so dear owner before you write anything please check the facts. I would have removed this review if you simply apologized and not invented a fake reason.
