Popped into Andante Coffee Roasters on Beverly Blvd for a morning caffeine fix, and wow, this place lives up to its rep as a haven for coffee nerds! I ordered an Ethiopia pour-over and their barista horchata iced coffee, and both were absolute bangers. The Ethiopia pour-over was a total standout—bright, floral, with those juicy berry notes that just pop. You can tell they’re obsessive about their single-origin beans, and the barista’s precision in brewing made every sip feel like a craft experience. The horchata iced coffee was a fun twist—creamy, spiced, and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet like some places overdo it. The vibe here is spot-on: minimalist, modern, with warm wooden tones and clean lines. It’s the kind of place where you can hunker down with a laptop, crack open a book, or just have a chill chat without feeling rushed. Super quiet and focused, which I love for getting some work done. The staff were friendly but not in-your-face, and you can feel their passion for coffee in how they talk about the beans (they roast in-house, which is dope).
Only downside? Parking on Beverly can be a bit of a hassle, so come early or be ready to circle for a spot. Also, the food menu’s pretty basic—pastries and toast—but you’re here for the coffee, not a full brunch spread. If you’re a coffee snob (like me) or just want a solid cup in a sleek, low-key space, Andante’s a must-visit. Already looking forward to my...
Read morei was really surprised at how mediocre of an experience we had at this coffee shop. initially, this was our plan B because our first option was just too busy so we opted for this as it was on the way to our destination and the coffee itself was generally fine, not too sweet and it tasted good. i am mainly leaving the review for the nonchalant, detached and DGAF attitude from the gentleman behind the counter serving the drinks. there was an older lady who ordered 2 hot beverages before we got there and when the barista. finished making her drinks he barely called it out and just stood there checking his phone instead. she had to walk up and check if those were hers. we ordered and it seemed like he was whispering to us throughout the order and the same thing happened, he made the drink and didn't say anything after putting it on the edge of the counter. my girlfriend had to walk up and also ask if it was hers. the store had about 5+ customers and people in line so the product is good but the customer service is...
Read moreGreat location in the well entrenched hip millennial Echo Park on Sunset. Pour over Guatemalan was rich and had lots of flavor ($4.25 eeek$) The sticker shock on today’s gen3 coffee houses is getting ridiculous imho. Free WiFi, small but ample indoor seating and a small out door bench. Normal mix of white millennials and their dogs as expected. I’m not saying anything is wrong with that... I’ve watched the Echo Park area gentrify since the financial crisis of 2008. It’s now in full bloom. Enjoy! Service was great, gracious and speedy for everyone I saw e coffee is really good. I’ll be back. I was going to leave and started to talk to Brandon (mgr of a few locations) incredibly knowledgeable about the entire LA coffee scene. He poured me a cup of their Colombian roast. Highly recommended. They roast their own beans in the Beverly location. Single origin and well roasted without bitter or burned taste. +1/2 star back for this service and attention to detail. ...
