Baro Kimbap — Restaurant in Los Angeles

The sashimi bowl has always been delicious here before it became Baro. A bed of mixed fresh vegetables lined and topped off with fresh sashimi pieces, 3 types, shredded seaweed and plenty of masago. Also, a generous amount of sesame oil - brings the whole bowl together! I would have gave 5 stars only if the soup which accompanies the bowl was packaged with more thought and caution. The packaging has been changed to a paper container with a plastic lid for most of the bowl type packaging. The hot soup must deform the lid that it leaks out. Actually, more like spews out. We called to notify them of what happened after a few times and the response from the lady was not satisfying. During our call, we realized she already had knowledge of the leaking situation, yet they have not done anything to remedy it. Well, they do their "best" to tie the plastic bag as tight as possible, which contains the 2 containers: bowl of rice and the soup. We asked just yesterday to saran wrap the soup due to the leak issue and they were not pleased. Not sure if it was the same lady but she had to force herself to get it done, all the while mentioning she already securely bagged the item so it will not leak. Anyways, the food has always been fresh here and I will still go. Just hope this review will help them realize they need to do something about this...

I ordered the combo set with three varieties, and here’s how they rolled:

Spicy Pork Kimbap: This one packed a kick that sneaks up on you, hitting the back of your throat in the best way. A bold and fiery choice.

Anchovy Kimbap: A classic. Salty, savory, and just enough crunch to keep things interesting. Definitely a solid go-to.

Egg Kimbap: The star of the show! Light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced with that signature hint of sesame oil. Simple, yet so satisfying.

Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with no shortcuts taken. If you’re in the Galleria and need a quick, delicious bite, Baro Kimbap is a solid choice. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel—it’s just really good at...

The kimbap is good, a little overpriced but I’m giving a 2 star because I’m allergic to nuts, I got the anchovy kimbap & didn’t realized it contained some kind of nut in it which caused an allergic reaction. Luckily, my allergic reaction wasn’t severe this time but what if next time I get something else. I wish they had & start adding what each kimbap contains so anyone who has allergies can avoid any type of allergic...
