My baby loves this playground. There are two contraptions, one for toddlers/kinders, the other for grade-school/big-kids. There are numerous families that visit this park from around the crowded neighborhood, so it is always packed - though, not crowded. The contraptions are ridded hard and are now starting to show signs of wear, but all swings, slides, steps, ladders, and so-forth still work well. There is an excercise track with outdoor fitness park equipment. A small baseball field to one side, which is also used as a soccer field, and a basketball gym/recreational center for community activities to the other. This park is definitely a possitive influence in the area. Ocassionaly, this park will be the base camping area for some homeless people, but I haven't heard of any dangers or concerns about them. Regularly, the Korean community will have festivals and activities here. More of these type of park/centers are needed in the surrounding area. I haven't witnessed any gang activity...

But this could very well be one of the scariest parks I've been to. With homeless people occupying almost any free space. Tents lined up against a wall. MS gang members walking around. The main street is right there. It felt like a bus was going to barrel down into the field. The parking lot is tiny. By the time our game ended, the park was completely full of people. The playground was literally stuffed with people trying to beat the heat of their tiny apartments. The neighborhood is surrounded by decrepit apartment buildings. This park belongs to the block. Go somewhere...
