The bread is good! Really good. Simple ingredients, how the bread should be. But I came to the truck some many times, and they didnât have whole assortment like focaccia or Berliners or even the type of bread I wanted. Once, then were even closed. Itâs 30 min drive for me. They advertise themselves l as being open from 9am and then Iâm coming there today, and theyâre selling OLD BREAD from Wednesday, and donât have fresh bagels nor focaccia. And the woman whoâs in the truck saying in a patronizing way âHave a good dayâ when I showed I was not happy I came for nothing, (AGAIN). And it happened so many times that they didnât have the whole assortment, like I mentioned before. And then one time this guy is asking me for a tip, when I said NO with a surprised face, he gave me an attitude! Itâs a bakery, not a restaurant. Tip for what? For me driving 30 min to get nothing because they donât have it in stock? But then Iâm reaching out to them with exact same words and that they wasted my time and money (gas), and first she apologized and offers focaccia for free, but later on she takes it back! This is unbelievable to me, and not American standards for sure. So the bread is good but not good enough to be treated like that as a customer. After all, the whole experience...
Read moreBest bread in Los Angeles! Itâs freshly made , all breads are vegan as well, organic sourdough and you can tell itâs made with love. They sell it out of a retro vintage looking van in the heart of Los Feliz. I got the organic country white sourdough and the OG organic sourdough thatâs made with rye. They both are fantastic loaves of bread , soft in the middle with an amazing outer crust. The white sourdough is perfect for making pizza breads or putting jams on. The OG sourdough is great for caprese sandwiches or whatever you want to throw on it. They also sell doughnuts that are called Berliners , a German doughnut, didnât try them this time will for sure next time. They also have a vegan honey sesame sourdough that they were sold out of and sourdough with sesame, highly...
Read moreSome of the best bread Iâve ever had. I stopped coming here because they now expect a tip in top of the $17 bread. It makes me feel like an jerk when I donât tip places. I always thought that tipping was associated with a services not really for products⌠Are the owners not paying the people working in the van and passing it off to the customers? Idk. I go to tartine now. Which isnât as good but the interaction is less awkward. EDIT - I went back because I really wanted some really good bread. No longer...
