Bobo The Boba — Restaurant in Los Angeles

What a frustrating experience! The cashier was super friendly at first, telling us to download their app for 30% off our first order and have points for our orders. She even promised to make sure the discount went through - yeah, right! The weirdest thing happened - I was just holding my phone , and the machine just took the payment without me even tapping my phone. And guess what? No discount.

When I pointed it out, the cashier said she'd call the manager to void it, but then she just started making our drinks?! Like, hello? Shouldn't you fix the payment first? By the time our order was ready (which felt like forever), she basically shrugged us off and said she couldn't do anything. She should have told us from the start that we should order through the app for us to get that discount. Talk about bad customer service!

To make matters worse, our drinks were a mess. I asked for less ice, but my cup was practically overflowing with it. My sister's veryberry drink was supposed to be 50 less sugar, but it tasted like syrup. And the boba? Hard and undercooked. Definitely not worth the price or the hassle. Our family won't be back.

Nice boba spot! Loved the Taiyaki (fish-shaped waffles). Lots of different fillings to choose from. I wish more places in the Valley had Taiyaki like this place does. I mainly came for the Taiyaki. I got Cheese and Sweet Potato for my fillings. Both good - would get the Cheese a thousand times over. It had 2 kinds of cheeses and some Italian herbs so it was kinda pizza-ish (but without any sauce).

Big variety of drinks - ones other Boba places around here definitely don’t have. I got the Dragon Slayer and I really liked the mango bits! A few of my friends tried it too and liked it. I’d get it again but first I need to come back a few more times to try some of the other drinks, like the Lychee Yogurt. Lots of different types of boba balls too.

Came with a party of 9 at around 8:30 or 9pm. We took up about half the seating. Other than that, it’s a cute place with nice staff. Didn’t take long at all to fulfill our orders. Bobo the Boba is a staple in Northridge for their wide variety of drinks and yummy taiyaki! Service was easy and quick and we were able to have some fun through the claw machines that take Apple Pay!! We even won 2 totoro plush keychains. Bobo the Boba has everything you need for a fun boba date!
