Online order...ordered online 2 weeks prior to Thanksgiving, only delivery date available the wednesday before Thanksgiving. Ordered the "Turkey feast"...ordered arrived mid morning wednesday but missing the turkey, the yam souffle and the cheesecake sampler. Pretty major items to be missing. I immediately called honeybaked ham customer service. I WAS ON HOLD FOR 3HRS...#110 calls ahead of me. When the rep finally answered I asked that she take my number in case we get disconnected as I have waited so long. Response can't do that...no outbound calls. Also please note no apology for waiting 3hrs or the missing items. Just bad manners Honey baked ham. The reps first option was for me to go my nearest honey bake store and pick up the items I said even when I ordered items were out of stock ate you telling me these will be in stock for me? Checked with her sup...no they will not be. Only other option refund for the missing items...asked how much will the refund be....she did not know as she does not do refunds. Asked when to expect 6 to 10 business days. I know Thanksgiving is more than just food but Honey Baked this is your business step it up, train reps to answer questions and take complete actions...be sympathic to your customers . In the end I was able to find vendors who delivered to my parents the missing items. I will need to think again before ordering from honey baked and especially the fact they appear NOT TO CARE. This ordeal was stressful and more time consuming then me baking an entire dinner and dropping it off at my parents home!. I too work full time and have a family was trying to make it simple and easy this year. I know many others have far worse situations going on in 2020 and I am grateful for what I have. I just wanted to give a heads up in case you are thinking of ordering for the holidays. It may...
Read moreThe ham is what you expect. Delicious but the service is terrible. The employees at the registers are unfriendly & don't know anything about their products. On my last visit they tried to sell me on extra sides and jars of mustard. But when I asked what it was that's in the jar 2 of the girls shrugged their shoulders and just said "I don't know". One picked up the jar and started reading the label and told me "I think it's jelly but I'm not sure" I told her it says chutney on the jar but doesn't say what kind, the other girl says "that's weird, but if you buy 2 you get $5 off your order " That's not all that's wrong here, I've placed orders over the phone and "reserved" both turkey breasts and hams before only to arrive for pick up to find out they've sold out of one of the items. No phone call or email. I've ordered online as well only to find myself in the same situation. It's basically first come first serve. Also note- it's useless to place a reservation online during the holidays- they will not honor it when you pick up. Again 1st come 1st serve. Not worth the stress and the prices are very high. I ended up getting a ham at Walmart Easter morning that was twice as big as the ham they sold me and for half the price no one could tell it wasn't from honey baked ham. I honestly thought it was better so never again...
Read moreWhere do I start with these money hungry vultures!!! Every year the prices get higher and higher. The prices are just out of control. Suffice to say this is not a family friendly company. I'm not sure it ever was. But the prices are super insulting. The funny irony is that the recipe they use was originally stolen. They forget we can make it ourselves or at least I can. Just use 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar and a few cloves, brown sugar and pineapple juice??? Also their popularity is based on American indolence and a perverse need to pay more. Like its a badge of honor to be able to afford it? This is why we pay more for everything because the prevailing pompous American attitude is that paying more is some how prestigious. The long inept lines don't help either. Although I'm fortunate in that I can afford to pay it. But many other folks cannot. The prices are egregious. Were paying for the company light bill, employees, packaging and the product itself. This year and every year after I will make my own Ham or Turkey (the sides suck qss) and I can guarantee it wont cost as much and if it does I'll get more bang for my buck.
Thanks but no thanks Honey...
