C.W. and Chris Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Los Angeles

We are visiting LA from Florida. I found this restaurant on Google in search of some southern good food. The reviews to this place were pretty good so we decided to try it. We spent $70 on four dinners. That was the WORSE thing I could ever do. After eating this food, I was up all night with diarrhea and vomiting. My family didn’t get sick but they only had chicken. I had chicken, snapper, shrimp, and tossed salad. The snapper was dry and didn’t taste very good and the salad dressing tasted weird. I thought it was maybe because I’m in a different region. I’m not sure what part of this dinner got me sick, but I just wanted to make people aware. Maybe the fish was old or the lettuce was bad. It could have been the salad dressing. I certainly did not plan spending a whole day of my vacation...

This was the most DISGUSTING chicken I have ever tasted in my entire life. I'm thinking "oh this finna be hella good" and was excited to try the food. HELL NAH, the chicken was over cooked, NO SEASONING ON THE BREADING OR CHICKEN, and it had a foul taste LIKE IT WAS OLD or something. I was actually pissed off so bad, I only ate the fries which weren't good either but I had to at least eat something. By the time I finished the fries I tasted another weird foul taste again and spit it out and just threw it all away. There was literally no flavor to any of the food. It was like eating oil. CW & Chris I need yall to PLEASE fix how yall are cooking yall food cause this is just outta pocket af to be serving...

CW & Chris is a, whole-in-the-wall fish & chicken joint that has been a staple on Western Avenue for over a quarter century. In fact, they were the winner of the legendary Steve Harvey Morning (radio) Show's "Hoodie Awards" for "Best Frted Chicken," three consecutive years. The fish, is my favorite though. The customer service is outstanding. Each order is cooked fresh, so bring your patience, it will take awhile to cook it. This ain't fast food, but it is good food. Many of the locals will phone in their orders to cut down on the wait time. There is a small dining area, if you choose to dine-in. Though the majority seems to prefer take-out. And bring cash. No credit or debit...
