The food is very good and fresh. Unfortunately however, The customer service lacks but surprisingly on the part of The manager, Alejandra who was on duty. She attended me and wasn’t very enthusiastic or friendly. JJ prepared my bowl and he was far nicer and friendly and very accommodating. Alejandra didn’t even suggest a drink to go with my meal or even ask if I was a rewards member or if I would like to join. This is my first visit and I live in the area so I would’ve definitely been here more often as a rewards member. I only found out about the rewards because I happened to glance over at a sign that mentioned it.
I had already payed for my meal before I realized there was a rewards program. I asked the manager to please help me sign up for the rewards and add my transaction to it and she just plainly said that I was supposed to tell her about the rewards prior to the transaction. She advised that I take a picture of the receipt, sign up for the rewards online, submit an email with the picture of the receipt attached and download the app. I asked if she could issue me a refund and redo the transaction so that I wouldn’t have to go through so many steps. She said she couldn’t do that and that the only way I could receive rewards was to follow the instructions she gave me. She was very unapologetic about the whole thing and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. I ultimately decided not to join the rewards and will not be coming back. This is now the second time I've picked up My food with something missing. I asked for pita, get home, and it's not there. Awesome. The lentils weren't cooked.
I walked in for My order, it wasn't on the rack I was told to use before. They decided to keep all pick-up orders behind the register again I guess. I waited by the register only to be ignored by every single employee working. There were 5 I could see at the time.
There was a large chick with a bandana standing right in front of Me doing nothing, she made eye contact with Me, then just walks away while laughing about something, and proceeds to do nothing.
Another employee was refilling some container and kept looking over at Me, then would look annoyed and roll his eyes, and kept ignoring Me as well. The guy working the register did not acknowledge My presence at all and went to help the line of literally 3 people instead of asking My name and handing My order over.
No one greeted or said "hello" or offered any assistance while I stood there, having eye contact made by all of them, who were all intentionally choosing not to help Me, and had to wait for My food that was just sitting behind the counter.
The dude at the register eventually turns toward Me, after pretending I wasn't there, and goes, "What do you need?" Only to hand My order that they forgot to put everything in to.
I used to love CAVA, but screw this. This location wasn't even busy, which wouldn't be an excuse anyway, and the attitude and lack of care the staff had made the environment uncomfortable and irritating.

Read moreHorrible customer service. Every time I order online and set a specific pick up time, I arrive the food is never ready. I ordered at 2:45 for a 3:15 pickup. I showed up at 3:30 knowing they’d be late. They hadn’t even started making the order. When I asked the employee how much longer because it’s already been 15 mins past my pickup time, she ignored me. The”manager” then came by and she told him I was upset. He didn’t even acknowledge and loudly within my earshot said well he can be upset and wait. He didn’t offer to help her even though she was clearly backed up and in the weeds. He didn’t acknowledge me at all. He then told her to let her know if I give more attitude. Another 10 mins goes by and another manager appears. I asked her if she’s a manager, explained I ordered almost an hour ago and it’s not ready, and before I can even finish explaining what I’m upset about she turns away. Finally they get my food and she just shoved the bag in my hands and says here you go. No apology, no compensation, no thank you. Nothing. I love CAVA so much and this the only location near me, but the customer service is terrible every time I go. I would highly recommend going somewhere else and I’ll only be going to other locations for the foreseeable future. There’s some core competencies when running a business in the service industry and this location, its management, and employees don’t understand them.
