City Bean Roasters — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Really great place to get fresh locally roasted coffee beans at an incredible price. I’ve been ordering more from local and California based roasters during covid while working from home, and City Bean beats everyone on price while maintaining high quality. The shop is just a small storefront and they make it easy to pick up a bag, pay via Venmo and be on your way.

I’ve tried a few different varieties they have for medium and dark roasts and enjoyed them all. Will try their light roasts soon. They are also helpful when I have questions or need a recommendation.

I’m particularly fond of My Old Friend for perfect balance in a cappuccino or other espresso drinks. The roasts are consistent every time. Have subscribed to their monthly 3-bag coffee box for about two years now, always been happy with the roasts/beans. Also like stopping in the store from time to time to snag a special roast or when we run out. The Nighthawk Blend is an amazing dark roast and we've also been enjoying the lighter roasts too.
