Cocos ruined thanksgiving. The day before thanksgiving I called in to the cocos holiday order line and put in an order for 3 specific pies (the chocolate cream, coconut cream, and pumpkin pie). I paid for my order in advance , received a confirmation number, and scheduled a pick up for 3 pm on thanksgiving day. At 3 pm on thanksgiving day, my husband went to pick up the pies from cocos as I was hosting thanksgiving dinner and the guests would be arriving in an hour. My husband arrived at cocos to find a line that stretched around the block for PRE ORDERS. since I had already paid $45 for 3 pies, my husband decided to wait. It’s a pre order line should be quick right?! Wrong. He stood in line in the wind for TWO HOURS. After waiting in line for two hours to pick up pies that had been paid for and scheduled for 3 o’clock my husband got to the front of the line, where he was told “I’m sorry sir, unfortunately we are OUT OF PIES.” Let me reiterate. After waiting in line for 2 hours for a scheduled pre paid pick up, he was told the pies we ordered and paid for were not there. This is the part where you would think it can’t get worse. LOL. Plot twist. It does. As he is standing there waiting for someone to help him and explain what is going on he hears an employee say to someone in the non pre order line “the chocolate cream pie is pre ordered but it’s ok you can have it.” At this point I’m on the phone trying to speak to someone and figure out how a company can be so careless and irresponsible on a major holiday, as I’m speaking to someone in the store she proceeds to call me “sweetie” and tell me that I am S.O.L. At the end of the day we did NOT receive the pies that we ordered and paid for. My husband wasted HOURS on thanksgiving waiting in line for nothing. And cocos managed to severely stress out and upset a pregnant lady. Congratulations cocos. You have contributed to the crappynes of 2020. One would think in an environment where so many businesses are going under, clients would be valued. Instead cocos displayed that they have zero respect for their clients time and money, and complete disregard for their pre orders. Please, save your time and money. Shop small, shop local, most importantly DO...

We had a corner booth that was blasting cold air from the vents between the booth and the wall of windows, so it was freezing and we had to get jackets from the car. My other complaint is that they seemed disorganized. They didn't provide knives for spreading butter on the bread or with meals that clearly needed knives for cutting meat or veggies served whole! We had to ask for several things that should have been provided on the table. To balance the negatives of our experience, the food was definitely worth 5 stars, everything was delicious and I would say the pies rival the ones I've always loved from Marie Calendars. So in summary, the food is worth 5 stars, the service & comfort level are 3 stars equaling an overall 4 star review from me.

Update We've returned here for special occasions and it's been much more comfortable at tables on the north side with all the table supplies provided, so that's improved. I will keep my review at 4 stars however because the Chocolate Silk pie that rivals Marie Calendar's Chocolate Satin Pie is almost never available when we come now, and it was my whole reason for going there for my birthday rather than Marie Calendar's. My other note is that the steaks we had were under cooked based on how we typically have them. If you like rare (mooing) that's how the medium rare steaks were cooked. So if you're like us and like your streaks slightly pink and juicy, ask for Medium or maybe even Medium well. Also, little note, post COVID, there's saltine crackers instead of bread and butter provided before food arrives. The service is excellent though, with refill drinks being supplied well in advance. Our waitress was very attentive...

So I dont like to play the race card but idk what it could be.Ive been here 5 times because I like the food alot .Out of those 5 times there was this white waitress. She welcomed me but looked mad at me idk why so I just did as she said and went about my day with it.She would mutter under her breath when I took too long to order and i decided to bring my gf here to see if it was just me.She noticed it too and we noticed she would hurry us to do things like order and choose menu items and when I tried to change little bits of my order she just straight up said no.(I wanted french toast instead of pancakes).Idk it was redeemed with the other waiters one was a guy and the other was a woman named kim.Very sweet people.Anyway maybe figure that out because it seems like its not only me who thinks this.I saw another couple peoples reviews and surprise, surprise they weren’t white where the waitress was rude or just straight up trying to get you out. What also gets me is that she subbed some of my food and charged me normally as if i had a choice in it and i didn’t realize it until the check.Oh and she was really mean when i tried to ask for pie?Idk man it was uncomfortable but i really wanted to say it was a bad day but every time I’m there on 5 separate occasions?I...

Parking was full getting here and we arrive around 10am so the earlier the better. Overall wasn’t much of a good experience and I don’t see myself coming back. After being seated our waitress (I didn’t get her name, she didn’t introduce herself) we noticed our table and menus were a bit sticky and was also a subtle foul smell coming from the seats (we sat at a booth). Our waitress wasn’t warm or welcoming whatsoever and even brought us the check while we were still eating which made us feel a bit rushed to leave. We ordered a tomato&basil omelette, 1 brioche French toast, the lumberjack combo, side of bacon, side of sausage, a coffee, orange juice and a mimosa for a total of $68.90 I asked to sub the ham for something else and they didn’t which you can reference the receipt and picture of food for reference. The food was decent but not good enough for the price and the bad dining experience. The young hostess/waitress with the braids and gold hoop earrings was sweet and almost made up for the lack of customer service but it’s unfair to rely on her. The rest of the staff need to do a better job at cleanliness and hospitality.

Review for March 3rd 2022. Coco's Bakery restaurant is located in the heart of Mission Hills. It is one of a few Coco's Bakery restaurants in the Los Angeles County, within the San Fernando Valley. Let me start off by saying that I really do appreciate their customer service. My sandwich lunch was perfect. I had turkey with french fries any freshly brewed hot cup of coffee. I got to admit that the coffee here is very fresh and delicious. I seldom ever get a chance to have lunch here while I'm working, but when I do I really appreciate the customer service. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely I love turkey sandwiches. Thank you so much for the attention to service and the detailing the quality food you serve.

As you can see in the photo it is overcooked bacon, should be listed as friend bacon. The server hardly spoke with us. I also saw a bug on the side of the booth, I manage to get it into a empty creamer container, I told the server there's a bug in here, he said oh no kept going, had to call him back and ask him to At Least take the trash with the bug away, he grabbed it and just walked away like if it's a usual thing or I'm the one being rude...so aside from burnt bacon labeled as apple wood smoked bacon (which in truth was regular overcooked bacon) this place was a bad experience for me. To each his/her own, but this is just a nice heads up on what to expect.
