I know we’re talking about Del taco I don’t need to be reminded so if anybody wants to comment on that keep it to yourself. But when you think about fast food anti-Taco Bell, or whatever the hell, this particular, Del taco is amazing I’m not a big lover of meat, I just started eating meat but I definitely love their chicken burritos but I eat their eight layer burrito that’s what I normally get. It’s vegetarian with every single thing you possibly want but it comes with beans so you get protein! which is insane and it’s so big and good and delicious and I never get sick, the service is amazing everyone is so nice and friendly. I’ve never been during early day. I go evenings so later in the evening good night FYI. I just like to go there. The fries are hot. The soda is crisp and has enough carbonation which is very important to me because Im not a fan of a flat soda but like I said. The people there are amazing because they communicate you can explain exactly how you want your food made and you get it that way so if you want extra sauce they put extra sauce or whatever it is, I’m just saying they make it extra big and delicious and never get sick. Apparently me being sick by food is a huge issue so when I find someplace that is a fast food place that doesn’t make me sick and that they’re nice and I don’t worry about my food being contaminated. I’m definitely gonna write a review! Again the people that work there are awesome, and if they were really nice, it would make me not want to eat there also because I wouldn’t trust them. Trust is a big issue with me. Also, the sour cream is fresh. Lettuce, crisp, and fresh. Tortillas always hot. I don’t get cool tortillas and I have salsa in my bag without asking and napkin. Whatever you wanna call it which is a big deal because! I’ve been another Del tacos and apparently some people don’t think you need napkins but not this one. They are amazing, this is my favorite Del taco. They are on Venice Boulevard in Culver City.A public service announcement regarding shrimp tacos. I don’t do well with fast food specially seafood, but this word I do not use very often, which is, Awesome very important when they have shrimp tacos I eat there like three times a week. I don’t know when they’re going to have them at a certain time of year. But the fish tacos are amazing anyways but and I’m talking fast food and I’m saying amazing fish taco blow your mind, i’m sorry I guess it just blows my mind but I’m even talking about fast food fish tacos right!? But this being said, the shrimp tacos are insane, maybe it’s just me but apparently it can’t be because people can’t wait till they keep coming out. I wish it was on the menu all the time please please I’m begging you if anybody that sees this and you’re able to make that happen make it happen Shrimp Tacos are crazy good I mean great I gave you four of them and 83 panels and I need to gain weight so I appreciate it if you could bring that back on the menu. Thank you. Also, another thing I’d like to say about Del taco is they have not changed their ingredients their cheese taste like the cheese used to the beans taste the same the rice taste the same. Please don’t change anything. I’m scared I’m a jinx it because everybody changes something I think they’re saving money they’re really not. They’re losing money because people like us don’t wanna eat there if there’s people like me, I don’t know, but if you have a good product stick to it, I’d rather pay more than downgrade and changes the flavor of something that’s been consistent. I gave five stars on on view, which is kind of funny because that’s not what’s important. Obviously it’s on the corner or the freeway in Venice Boulevard but food so they get five stars on everything coming back to the service. It wouldn’t matter if the food if the people that make it didn’t put it together to where it is delicious. OK this is a long enough review. If you read this whole thing apparently lol but...
Read moreI had an Uber eats order at 4:00 in the morning. There were three people inside the restaurant one guy parked outside in his car sleep. I waited almost 20 minutes for them to make the order. I tried to talk to them through the speaker no one was responding. I knocked on the window no one responded. I honked no one responded. Mind you there's like three people inside. Finally a white lady with short hair I saw her sitting on her phone near the door. I asked through the door if she can make the order or you know at least update me on what's happening or how long I have to wait. She replied with "we're closed". I put my phone on the door and I yelled through the door that I had an Uber order. She flipped me off and like waved her hand to signal for me to go away.
. Mind you Del Taco drive-thru is 24 hours so they should not be closed especially if you accepted an Uber eats order. Why accept the customers order and have a driver come all the way from 10 minutes away. For you to sit on your phone and not do your job?
So I basically lost a $23 order. 30 min of my time. Including the time it took me to drive to the location. Plus the time waiting.
I had another order down the street. And basically had to drive right back by this Del Taco. Only 10 minutes after leaving. All three were in the front you could see them through the glass window from the stoplight. Making orders and two cars in line.
There was no reason for there to be three people on the floor and not one of you could have at least came to the door in that whole time and said hey "this is what's going on or some type of update"
If one of them had just explained thoroughly and professionally instead of literally just staring at me through the glass flipping me a middle finger , telling me to go away like I'm some bum.
And as someone who works overnight into the early morning if you don't like working that shift if you feel that your job is too difficult to do then maybe get a different job that better suits a schedule that works for you. And don't accept people's orders if you know that you're going to close the store for however long. Or so she claimed. Cuz literally within not even a full 10 minutes of circling the block they were all working all of a sudden. I was literally waiting outside for 20 minutes. And all of...
Read moreLet me start by saying this: I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews. I know food service is hard, things get busy, and mistakes happen. But when the exact same mistake happens twice, on two separate DoorDash orders, from the same Del Taco location, it stops being a mistake and starts to feel like a pattern. And that pattern is: I pay for fries, and Del Taco keeps forgetting to put them in the bag.
This isn’t a case of “Oh no, I forgot to order them” or “Maybe I didn’t click the right button.” I double-checked. I was charged. The receipt says fries. My stomach said, “Yes, let’s go.” But both times, when I opened the bag — no fries. Just a sad little pile of napkins and broken dreams.
What’s most frustrating is that it’s such a basic part of the order. I’m not asking for anything complicated. Just… include the item I paid for. The fries are a major part of the combo — not just a side dish. Without them, it’s not a full meal. It’s like being handed a sandwich without the bread and being told, “Well, the meat’s still there, enjoy.”
And yes, I submitted the missing item request through DoorDash both times, but honestly, I’d rather not have to micromanage my food deliveries like this. At this point, I can’t trust this location to get the order right, which is disappointing — especially when there are other Del Taco spots that consistently get it right.
Del Taco on Robertson, please take more care in order accuracy. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect that the food I paid for actually makes it into the bag.
Until then, I’ll be ordering elsewhere — preferably from a location that respects the sacred bond between a customer and...
