With all the other decent burger places within 5 miles; this place dont stand a chance. I came here with my fiancé, both of us were 1st timers eating here. And well I have say it'll be out last. Here's my honest review on location, appearance, staff and food.
Location: It's fairly easy to access from Nordhoff or Reseda and the parking lot is large. Appearance: It's new so the appearance & cleanliness is... well new. Staff: The staff customer service is pretty good, the cashier tried to help us with deciding what to get by advising us on the most popular (so far) as well as her own preference. They bring your food to you.
The Food Presentation: Bad. Doesnt look at all like the pictures, not even close.
The Food: We we both ordered a natural burger which comes with onion, 2 pickles chips, his having bacon, avocado adding lettuce, tomato on a potato bun. Mines having all of the above except onion, bacon and avocado. Well we were already disappointed from the look of it. It looked thrown together, thousand island dressing was extremely watery. I wouldnt have known that it was TI had I not been told. Lettuce was half wilted, the other half was the white part of the lettuce ao it was bulky, thick and auper crunchy which made it difficult to keep inside the burger. My burger kept falling apart. I had to put it down and put back together after every bite. I finally just took it out. Also, with the help of the watery TI dressing, the lettuce made my potato bun fall apart quicker. The tomato was eck. Basically it wasnt worth the $20+ we spent on it. Oh and also ordered aome chili cheese fries... yea, you can totally buy hormel chunky chili w/out beans, any type pre shredded cheese and microwave it on top of some fries (purchased anywhere or made at home.)
My final thoughts: If you want to try this place I suggest splitting a burger & cost with a friend so you wont feel duped out of 10/20 bucks. Otherwise I'd say DO NOT EAT HERE its so not worth it. You will NOT be able to...
Read moreThis review is for the drive thru: I have nothing bad to say about my experience at this Farmer Boys location. I placed an order for a family of 4, nothing complicated but a couple special requests no mayo etc. The young lady taking my order in the drive thru lane was great! She helped me in making a decision on what to order, had a few menus on her to pass around since we couldn't see the menu board. She was courteous & polite and on it. Moved ahead to pay at the window & could see inside was a relatively young crew. They read back my order to me and I paid with no problem. My order was ready about a minute later which is pretty fast for FBs. Got home and everyone got exactly what they ordered, no mistakes and the food was awesome. Best burger I've had in a long time. Tasted fresh, char broiled like it was off my own grill. Fries were hot and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Family loved the new chicken sandwich a great recommendation from the girl in the drive thru. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back. Side note- I've had their onion rings before and hated them. They do the beer battered kind, not the crunchy panko crust kind. I find them flavorless and not my thing. Just saying that in case you're in the mood for onion rings when you go there and get disappointed. No reason to knock them for that, it's how they make them. Everything else is delicious and the...

Pro: Welcoming atmosphere, lots of light from big windows. Clean floor, clean tables. Clean, stocked bathroom. Burger I ordered was cooked properly and was tasty! I liked the bun even! Doesn't ever seem to get too crowded. Workers were friendly. People in the kitchen seemed to be happy and enjoy the place (that's always nice to see). Music wasn't too loud or obnoxious. I like the little mural about their story. I appreciate that sort of thing (I do read them, I'm one of those. ;-). )
Con/complaint: Cashier proded my boyfriend who was still in partial work uniform about a particular service (my boyfriend installs said service) and began complaining to him as if my boyfriend was going to do something about it right then and there on his time off... I would have thought it was kind of funny if the guy hadn't started complaining (instead of kindly asking questions, know what I mean?) Do YOU want to be bothered about work when you're off the clock and/or eating? It just seemed... So strange. Almost ruined what was almost a fully positive experience. Could use something to spice it up a tad to really draw people to the place.
Would I go again?- Probably as it's close to my current workplace but not because it wow'd me.
Would I recommend it?- Yeah, but not if you're wearing any kind of...
