I recently visited For The Win and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the staff was completely overwhelmed and undertrained. The line of frustrated customers was long, and it seemed like no one really knew how to manage the situation.
After waiting for nearly 20 minutes just to pick up my online order, I noticed multiple customers growing impatient, with some even mentioning they'd been waiting over 45 minutes for their food. Not a single staff member came out to address the delay or offer any updates, which made the wait even more frustrating. It was clear the kitchen was struggling to keep up with the orders.
When I finally received my food, it was a huge letdown. The burger itself was mediocre at best, but the worst part was the fries. They were burnt to a crisp, completely inedible. I’m talking about rock-hard, blackened fries that should never have left the kitchen. It made me wonder if anyone was actually paying attention back there.
Overall, the experience was a mess—from the long wait times to the poorly cooked food. For a place that’s supposed to be about quality burgers and a good dining experience, it missed the mark entirely. I don’t plan on returning anytime soon, and I hope management steps in to properly train their staff and get things...

I have never experienced a restaurant so unwilling to accommodate a simple request. We had a vegetarian in our group and asked if we could add a tomato to their grilled cheese—just a slice of tomato! The answer? A flat-out no. Thinking maybe we could work around their inflexible menu, we offered to pay full price for a burger with toppings and simply remove the meat—again, a hard no.
This wasn’t a complicated or unreasonable request. We weren’t asking for substitutions or freebies—we were willing to pay. But apparently, For the Win Burgers would rather enforce arbitrary rules than provide basic customer service.
The attitude from the staff was just as disappointing—zero willingness to help, no attempt at a solution, just a robotic “no.” If you have any dietary preferences or restrictions, don’t expect even an ounce of flexibility here. There are plenty of great burger spots in LA that actually care about their customers—this is not one of them.
One-star, and that’s only because I can’t give zero. Never...
Read moreI was so excited to try out this new location by the Beverly center but this place is awful… for starters the store itself is dirty, the tables and seats were covered in grease and food bits. Took at least 20 minutes for us to get our order despite the store being empty. I got the single cheeseburger which was $9 and ridiculously priced for how small it is. I am so confused how they are charging $1 to add a slice of tomato or a leaf of lettuce. They take smash burger to the next level, it really looks like someone took out all their anger and demolished the patty on the grill. My cheese wasn’t even heated all the way!? It was still cold and firm in the middle. The Brussel sprouts were totally overcooked and I don’t think there was even a speck of seasoning or salt on them. I literally had to ask the worker for a bowl of salt to make them edible. The fries were good. Overall, 2/5 and I would not come back here and would not recommend anyone...
