My wife gave birth at Cedars-Sinai last week so I had several days of exploring places within walking distance of the hospital. After a disappointing breakfast at Egg Slut, I decided to explore some smaller establishments. I found a GEM hole in the wall cafe called Mad Rebel Health Food! They are located a block away from Cedars in a small strip mall with free parking. The owner, John, was a former executive chef at several high profile LA and Las Vegas restaurants and the quality of his food shows! My first order was an amazing breakfast made with great ingredients (minus the spam I added, haha) which was so much better than Egg Slut’s that I had the day before. I also brought back a wonderful juice for my Wife, which she loved after a few days of eating hospital food. I basically ate all my meals there for the remaining time. Had a tasty Jerk chicken sandwich and breakfast burrito the next morning. He uses quality ingredients and his food doesn’t leave you feeling shitty like eating fast food or a greasy meal. These are the small food establishments that people should visit and support! I want to thank John for feeding me for those days and I’ll definitely be back whenever I am in the area. Give him a try, I bet you won’t regret it!

I own and operate a walking food tour company, so I know a thing or two about the restaurant scene, particularly in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, so hope that gives a little context to my review. So, my review...This. Place Is. Great! I ordered the "God Save the Quinoa"...quinoa is my favorite grain...and it was perfect. It has all the things you'd want...Kalamata olives, onions, peppercini's and perfectly cooked grilled chicken. But the real star of any salad is the dressing...and this dressing did not disappoint. It's' a lemon vinaigrette, which sounds simple, but there was a little kick to it and something else that I couldn't identify, but I loved it. John, the owner, has worked for some major superstar chefs and institutions, so he knows what he's doing. He's doing all the basics right while upleveling them in just the way that you'd want. Can't wait to go back and try a different salad or a sandwich. This neighborhood needs more restaurants like Mad Rebel...healthy choices made from organic and quality ingredients that don't break your budget. If you're shopping at the Beverly Center or staying at a nearby hotel, this should definitely be on your list while in the area. Cheers!

My husband and I just came here for the first time and we loved it sooooooo much! I had the Caesar, which was made with homemade cashew Caesar dressing and my husband had the quinoa salad! The Californian sandwich also is to die for. The awesome gentleman who owns this wonderful establishment was a chef for 36 years and anybody who comes here should feel so lucky to have food made from him. He creates all of his yummy recipes and the style is Gen X and so friendly and fun! Support local businesses come here for salad sandwich, smoothie breakfast burritos, and more!!! SO GOOD!! CLEAN FOOD!! I also had the wellness shot called, burner. It was amazing and I feel better after eating here!!!

I recently had the pleasure of discovering the Mad Rebel Health Kitchen, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise just steps away from Cedars-Sinai Hospital on 3rd Street in Los Angeles, California. This hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking a healthy and delicious dining experience.

It's a cozy spot, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. What truly sets Mad Rebel apart is that it's owner-operated, and the owner is undoubtedly a master chef. The passion for food and dedication to quality is evident in every aspect of the dining experience.

The food is nothing short of fantastic! My wife and I stumbled upon this culinary haven by chance, as it happened to be conveniently close to our doctor's appointment. From the moment we entered, the aroma of fresh ingredients wafted through the air, building anticipation for what was to come.

The menu caters to a diverse range of tastes, offering options for both vegans and carnivores alike. Whether you're looking for a plant-based delight or a savory carnivorous treat, Mad Rebel Health Kitchen has you covered. The freshness of the ingredients was striking, and each dish was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to quality.

I enjoyed exploring their selection of juices and smoothies, which were nothing short of incredible. Bursting with flavors and made with the freshest fruits and vegetables, they perfectly complemented the wholesome nature of the menu.

What impressed me the most was the balance achieved in offering meals that are not only delicious but also genuinely healthy. It's a rare find to experience a dining establishment that caters to both taste buds and well-being.

Mad Rebel Health Kitchen has earned its place as one of my top recommendations for fresh and healthy dining in Los Angeles. Whether you find yourself near Cedars-Sinai Hospital or are simply in the mood for a culinary adventure, do yourself a favor and stop by. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, and I have no doubt that this hidden gem will continue to thrive as a beacon of excellent food in the heart of...
