If you wish to be yelled at by a manager in front of everyone just because you asked why your Mocha was way below the 12oz line unlike others that came after you (when you were told by the server Ari it's supposed to be below the line), have them puff up as if they want to fight you while you're sitting down and then slap a to-go box and throw a cup towards you when you wish to pack up and no longer be a part of that atmosphere... then this place is for you. The manager Jennifer does not like to hear both sides when you are being disrespected by another employee named Ari, who was supposedly training and deserving of grace according to Jennifer, even though Ari was rude in tone, contradicting herself and didn't like the fact my mother was wanting to make sure they got what was paid for after Ari stated drinks are supposed to be filled below the line in the to-go cup (when filled to the top in their mason jars) and yet they were filling others to the top with similar drinks in the same to-go cups. Christiane, who rang up the order and made the drinks even admitted, prior to the conversation with Ari (who brought the tots to the table), when my mother noticed the drastic difference in size, that it is most likely less than 12oz because their 12oz mason jars are dirty and have to use the plastic to-go cups instead. There lacks consistency in "explanation" from one employee to the next.

After the interaction with Ari and asking for her name the manager stormed up to my 60 year old mother, who was siting down, asking what her problem was, already placing blame without reason. My mom tried to tell them the story and with every word, like "okay whatever" (when what was said wasn't understood by Jennifer or ignored because Jennifer preferred to defend her employee who was rude during the whole interaction and to continue the conversation/skip over what isn't being listened to) or "you've been here since the beginning of the store opening", we were met with an echo or an "excuse me what did you just say" or "You're rude for saying whatever" by Jennifer. My mom asked for her name, as well, for the review and she stated it loud and proud and told us to make sure we get it right. Bravo. A place that is supposed to be for people like us, a little different, is met with disdain simply due to wanting a better understanding of serving sizes and accountability. I don't know who Jennifer thinks they are but you never aggressively come up on customers as if you want to fight. Other than the service, the food is usually cold and/or poorly plated with serving sizes greatly inconsistent from one to the next. We always gave it another try because we like to see small businesses thrive. Please do better. And check your cameras Jennifer, they say a lot more than your puffed up ego.

Attached are photos from a previous visit and today's visit. Same order way different in portions (both a large). Today's photo, with way less tots is only missing 4-5 tots, eaten prior to the photo being taken. Honesty is key. We've had this issue before with other orders. Once I ordered a panini and was given a different side as well as way smaller portions than those around me. I asked why and they stated they ran out of the side it comes with and had to replace (without consent from the customer). The employees here need to be retrained or a new manager needs to be brought on otherwise, this store will not last the next 2 years since the cafe alone and its employees...

Anyone giving Game n' Grounds less than 5 stars is a liar or a fool. This place is perfect.

The atmosphere is inviting, and the decor is artsy and warm. I feel like I'm in a loved one's comfy, airy home. I love the skylights and wide windows letting all that natural sunlight in. The local artwork is also an inviting touch.

The service is awesome: everyone is friendly, cheerful, and helpful. There is a man with glasses who is especially great - I'm not sure if he's the owner of Game n' Grounds.

The menu is delightfully themed, and the food and drink are surprisingly delicious for a cafe. (I'm used to cafes serving great coffee but average everything else.) I'm happy they have such a great selection for non-caffeine drinkers such as myself.

This is a paradise for people who love games! They have an expansive selection from which to choose, as well as new games available for you to buy and take home. I'm not sure how Game n' Grounds operates without a cover charge, but I hope everyone comes and supports it to keep it thriving forever!

On a personal note, I live all the way in Los Angeles and have to drive 60 miles round trip, but I still come once a week. It's that awesome. I wish there was one closer to...

This place is so nerdy cute and reasonably priced. Employees were all knowledgable on games, and nice. A fun gaming cafe with yummy food and beverages. A good place to meet up with friends and play games, and it gets busy! As someone who can't have caffeine, they are one of the few places I've seen that has a little selection of fun caffeine free tea lattes (or, getting technical, herbal infusions/flavors with steamed milk!) I had the Honeybee (chamomile, milk and honey) and a fruit tart, and both were lovely, and not too sweet either! Friends had sandwiches, salads and hot honey tater tots, all of which were a nice bite!

I'd say the only con is there is no parking lot, and so many spaces are 30 minutes only or designated for other businesses. Parking is genuinely some of the worst I have seen, I feel bad for this place that it doesn't have a parking lot. I highly recommend carpooling, but, seriously, if you like board games cafes, don't...

Can’t really rate them any higher until I actually get to try any of their products. This place is cool just walking in.. The staff and clientele are very friendly. Friday is a big game night. If you walk in on a Friday then someone may come up to you and ask you if you want to play a game. The games are for “rent”.. meaning that you have to leave your ID to play any game on the shelf for FREE. The games in plastic are for sale and cannot be played. I’m going to try this place soon but I had just come from another coffee shop (*bucks) but I really wanted something different from the franchises. Take a look at pics. Not a bad way to spend and evening with friends!!

This board game café has recently become one of my favorite spots! As a board game enthusiast, I was thrilled to discover this hidden gem. It’s perfect for group hangouts or even a cozy date with your partner. They have a wide selection of games, making it a great place to try out those games you’ve always wanted to play. One of the best things about this café is the food—absolutely delicious! The desserts and drinks are also amazing. The space is cozy and beautifully decorated, with a charming and comfortable atmosphere. It’s such a fun and enjoyable place to spend time. The only downside is that it’s so popular that finding parking can be a bit challenging.
