I have zero knowledge about Cambodian food so I’m not sure what it’s supposed to take like. My friends and I came here on a Sunday night however to give this place a try.
The menu here is huge. We spent a good long while trying to decide what we wanted to eat. After we were done with that we placed our orders. Most of us ordered their famous dish which was the Beef Lok Lak. I ordered the pork chops with rice, and Matt P ordered frogs legs.
In addition to that we ordered some pork sticks and an iced tea. The iced tea looked like Thai Iced Tea but tasted a bit different. The pork sticks they had were pretty good.
In regards to my pork chops with rice… that was good too. The pork chops were just a tiny bit spicy but delicious. Most of our dishes came with a bowl of pork broth which was pretty good too if not a bit sweet.
Their fried rice that came with the beef lok lak was okay. I would not order that again, nor would I order the iced tea. But, this is a pretty good spot to eat at. They have a few tables in the restaurant but it’s not a huge place.
Also this place is cash only. Most people who came in ordered their food ahead of time and took it to go. They also had cheap banh mi's for sale but I didn't' get to order one of those.
Parking here is free. They share a parking lot with a supermarket. There is supposed to be a ticket they give you when you park here, but no one was working the day we were there. I would...
Read moreYelp says they close at 2am but Google says 6pm? The only reason this place is getting more than 1 star at all is because of the young man that was working the night we came. It was midnight and I came with 3 other people. When my husband's order came out wrong, he had it sent back and he could literally hear the cashier argue with the cook about how he didn't tell her that he ordered what he ordered. The cashier forgot to tell the cook about my order. We had to ask for it, it didn't come with the sauce it was supposed to... and it had hair in it 🤮 I've been to some grimy places and I'm okay with it but I don't know, it must've all had to do with us coming in at odd hours of the night. I can't even rate the food cause I'm pretty upset about the service. The young man working told us we didn't need to pay for our meals. My husband insisted we at least pay for the potstickers and dry noodles that miraculously came out and came out okay. Not from the area, don't think I'll bother coming back regardless of the...
Read moreI've only been to this restaurant once, but I've been missing it ever since I left. The menu is so extensive that I had a hard time choosing, but I finally narrowed down to one of the porridges. I took the server's recommendation of the fish over my preference of the seafood and to this day I'm grateful. The fish was so tender and the rice so smooth that I somehow managed to finish the sizable bowl. The server also came and brought some savory Chinese donuts which worked in perfect unison with the porridge. I tried four dishes ultimately between the table, a delicious seafood soup, beef sticks, and a seafood fried rice. There wasn't a single bad spoonful in the entire bunch. Though I'm now halfway across the country my mind occasionally drifts back to that quiet restaurant on a cloudy day...
