10 Must-Visit 🪩 LA Nightclubs That Will Keep You Coming Back for More

I recently visited La Cita for the second time on a Thursday night, and it was just as vibrant and happy as my first experience. Both visits were after other events, turning into a kind of afterparty as we arrived around 10:30 or 11 p.m. The atmosphere is alive – a mix of energy, music, and fun. The DJ played a great variety of Latin music that kept everyone on the dance floor, and the crowd was diverse. From locals to people dressed in suits and dresses fresh from a gala, La Cita attracts a mix of people from all walks of life and all ages. I danced with my group and even met a few new people to share the dance floor with, which made the night even more memorable. Everyone I was with danced and had some drinks. While I didn’t get to try the food this time, I remember enjoying it on my previous visit. There’s even a food truck parked out front for late-night bites. If you’re looking for a lively spot with great music, dancing, and an electric vibe, La Cita is the place. I’ll definitely be back more times!

I haven't experienced this level of unhinged staff behavior at higher end places so maybe this means going to the hole on the wall neighborhood spots isn't an option anymore.

I echo the sentiments of violent security. As I read other reviews(Yelp) before I went, I thought "how can you have no idea why that staff person was awful to you? You must have been involved with something and don't want to share" but tonight I experienced explicit bias and racism to a degree I don't think I've ever experienced in nightlife.

Earlier in the night one of their staff broke glass at our table and ofc drinks and glass went everywhere. We eased HIS fears, walked HIM to the bar and consoled HIM. We had a great chat, he was awesome, extremely apologetic, he replaced drinks - all was well.

About 20 mins later 2 security guards approached my group about the broken glass, adamant that we have to leave because we broke the glass. It turned into 4+ adult men(security) surrounding us, becoming increasingly unhinged while my whole party stayed seated, intentionally not mirroring the violence security was projecting because violent men only get more violent when you mirror their own behaviors.

Easy enough problem to resolve we thought - the staff person who broke the glass comes over and explains to security that he broke the glass, not any of us. We think it's over. But NO - security continues on about broken glass and threaten to physically remove us from the premises. That would never be reality(never) and it didn't come to that. Honestly, I say that as a functioning adult human who doesn't live in their world but maybe they actually would - they did seem giddy at the thought of physical assault.

We finally get the story out of security and there's another incident in a different part of the club where glass was broken. Me and my group were outside patio table ONLY, we didn't party indoors whatsoever.

Managers showed up and apologized but we actually had to continuously give explanations/alibis for a situation that had nothing to do with us.

How exactly is this connected to US? No one knew, not even security. Their exact words were "someone said that someone dressed in all black threw glass". Well, okay...there are a lot of ppl in all Black, what brought you to US?

In fact, one security guard was confident it was a certain person, while another guard was confident it was another, completely different person

And oddly there was one security guard who was especially foul, aggressive, violent, and giddy to harass us. I hope he gets the mental services he desperately needs and his mother starts telling him she loves him(unless she has valid reasons not to and based on his behavior, she just might).

It would have been comical was it not for men threatening to become physically violent with queer Black & brown femmes.

This is a place to either avoid or bring your own security if you have...

This was THE WORST BAR EXPERIENCE I have ever encountered. It started when I arrived around 2320 hours when I attempted to order my first drink of the night. My girlfriend and I stood at the center of the bar for about 5 minutes, being blatantly ignored by the (obviously) intoxicated bar tenders. By obviously, I mean to say that I actually witnessed one of the female bar tenders (not Angie) take a shot of liquor and Chase it with a bit of a lime wedge. Right after witnessing this I WAS STRUCK ON THE JAW BY A FULL BEER BOTTLE which had been tossed across the bar by the male bartender Raul in an attempt to land it into a trash can approximately 2 feet away from me. At this point, Raul seemed shocked and a bit confused as to what had just happened. Shocked, I picked up the full beer bottle of "Blue Moon" from the bar top and held it in disbelief as Raul grabbed my arm, pulled me in and said "I got your next drink, OK? " at that point I felt as if he was trying to hush me while his bar-back Angie gave him a "typical" look. At that moment, I asked to speak to the manager (Cameron), whom they could not seem to find and then told me it would be over a half an hour wait to speak to him. Raul then told me I was more than welcome to wait and walked away from me. Irritated, I walked to the front and spoke to the security guards outside and explained the story to them. They then called the owner of the club, Carl, who seemed a bit standoff-ish and also intoxicated. I then explained the situation to him, at which point he said he would have to investigate it and get back to me. He took my information, as I took his, and he went on his way. I would NEVER suggest this bar to anyone just based on the total fact that the morals standards and ethics of the staff in this bar just seem very low, to...

The night that I came to this bar it was cash only and online it said it was a $10 entrance but when I arrived it was a $20 entrance. After already paying parking I didn't expect to pay for higher fee. Especially because I checked online prior to coming out here. I don't live close by at all so it was really disappointing. I have had a couple issues in this bar with guys that are rude. It can get stuffy in the dance area and it's a relief to walk to the back patio. Great music, great vibes, great atmosphere. Just wish there would be more honest about the price online versus in person. Update: after coming here for many years and never being problematic. I was kicked out a week ago for smoking in the smoking patio. Apparently you cannot smoke weed anymore. I did not know this I turned off my joint right away and apologize for not knowing. The security guard told me it doesn't matter if I turn it off the manager wanted me out. I had never met this person before I didn't even know there was a manager. I approached the manager and let them know I already turned off the joint there's no need for me to leave. He came very aggressively toward me and told me to go. I asked what's the problem if I already turned it off? Like I said I just didn't know. He said" really because there's a sign out front." I told him " I never saw the sign". I felt so humiliated. I love the vibe the music here but I did not expect that kind of treatment at all. And of course it was from other Latinos as a Latina myself I did not expect to be mistreated at a bar I've been coming to for 10 years. . I would probably come again because I like it but I definitely felt messed...
