I just returned from an unforgettable experience at Holy Grill, and let me tell you, the 40-minute drive from home was worth every mile! From the moment I stepped through the door, I knew I was in for something special.
My experience at Holy Grill was nothing short of exceptional! As a lover of authentic Israeli cuisine, I was delighted to find a place that truly captures the essence of it. But what made this visit truly memorable was seeing my twin boys, 20 years old and with discerning tastes, thoroughly enjoy their meals.
One of my sons opted for the chicken shawarma, and I witnessed a look of sheer bliss wash over his face with every bite. He was so impressed that he insisted on getting an extra portion for his dad, who unfortunately couldn't join us that day. And let me tell you, that shawarma was indeed heavenly!
Meanwhile, my other son, who indulged in the hamburger, echoed my sentiments, declaring that the drive-time was totally worth it and is already planning his next visit. This speaks volumes about the quality of Holy Grill's offerings and the lasting impression it leaves on its patrons.
As for me, I savored the chicken shawarma plate, which was generously portioned. In fact, it was so sizable that I had to split it into two servings, one for immediate enjoyment and the other to savor later. And despite not being a regular meat eater, I couldn't resist diving into this dish, and it was absolutely worth it!
We're already making plans for our next visit because we know we'll inevitably crave the authentic flavors of Israeli cuisine again. Holy Grill has earned our highest recommendation, and we can't wait to share this culinary gem with everyone we know. If you haven't tried it yet, you're truly...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed by my recent experience with this establishment. While visiting Los Angeles, I ordered a shawarma laffa to-go, only to discover later that the order was incorrect. As I live out of town, I wasn’t able to return immediately, but the very next time I was in the area, I went straight back to the restaurant, hoping to have the untouched food replaced. Instead of the expected hospitality, I was met with criticism and offered nothing more than a discount on a future order.
Although I accepted the situation, I was assured by the owner that I would receive a discount code via text. However, I never received any such communication. When I followed up, the individual in charge at the time simply told me that it was between me and the owner, despite having heard the owner promise me the discount in person.
It is extremely disheartening, especially right before Rosh Hashanah, to experience this kind of disregard from a fellow Jewish-owned business. Honoring one’s word and treating customers with respect should be fundamental, especially within our community. I tried to resolve this matter directly with the owner, but since my concerns were not acknowledged, I feel compelled to share this publicly.
I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for the restaurant to improve its customer service and integrity...
Read moreIt really hurts me to not write a 5 star review for this place because they absolutely can have that rating. I deliver from this restaurant often and they just keep frustrating me with things.
The food is amazing when it’s good. The problem is that they are not as consistent and the quality can be amazing to sub par. I’m taking off a star for that reason.
The most frustrating part is their lack of following the order + instructions (this is sad to see when they attach a receipt of your order with said instructions to the order). When ordering a plate which normally is the most expensive way of ordering an entree it normally comes with many sides which makes the meal and can ruin it when not provided. Another star taken off for constantly getting the order wrong and being lazy.
I will still order from them and will gladly change my review if someone sees this and incorporates change. Again, they do provide...
